An elderly lady was found lying on her husband's grave...waiting for DEATH to come.
It sounds dramatic but in reality it is very tragic and heart breaking to know how grown up children leave their old parents to fend for themselves. This lady struggled to bring up her three sons- giving them all she and her husband could within their limited means. She even built a house where all of them lived together- the three sons got married - held good jobs - and should have lived happily - but that was not to be - the wives did not agree with the old lady and her husband and ill-treated them .The old man died in grief - then started the lady's plight- the sons threw her of the house on one rainy night - no where to go - she went to the graveyard and lay there- not knowing what to do- she lay there for three days and three nights without food or water. She was spotted by her neighbour who informed the cops. The neighbour moved court. The verdict came after three years on 31st July'09- the three sons were sentenced for three years of imprisonment-and the court took control over the house and returned it to the old lady - what was really heart breaking was when the lady heard of the sentence she broke down and cried for the forgivness of her children -which was not to be !
I WONDER HOW CAN CHILDREN TREAT THEIR PARENTS IN THIS MANNER- HOW CAN THEY FORGET that they too have children -what if they be treated likewise ? For History repeats itself--friends your views on this ........?

I think that's sad that a son would turn on his own mother. What kind of woman did he marry that would cause such missery amoung a household? I think he should have divorced the woman he married and looked for one that had a kinder heart.
I'm glad she got her home back and they went to prison. Justice did come through for her. For crying out loud - SHE buildt the house, who is her son to throw her out of her own house?

She is more of a woman than I could be. I'd welcome my own children back in my home, but as for their spouses? Nope, they mistreat me once and that would be enough for me to say they are no longer part of my family,

this is so true and sad and so very prevalent in India these days. On one hand, our tradition and way of life demands that parents do everything for their children for free, unlike westerns parents who expect their kids to leave house at 18 and set up their own establishments and even if the kids are staying back, they have to pay some amount as contribution. Indian society is brought up on the notion that parents don’t think about their future but that of their kids and give their everything to the children in return for the belief that their children will take care of them in old age. However, these days due to various factors, the children are becoming more self-centred and do take care of aged parents…wives are a factor but I strongly believe that even if one of the sons had wanted to, he could have taken care of the old lady…
what is more saddening is that the courts are having to punish these errant children and forcing them to do something which should have come naturally to them.

I know for a fact that everything that we do in this
world comes back to us to haunt us. Those sons deserve
more than 3 years in prision. Shame on their wives too.

I also heard related news about children not caring for their children. I hate the for doing that. They will be parents also and they should have cared for them. In our country we take care of our parents when they become old. They are being taken care of by the children and the grandchildren. Of course there are those who send their parents to home for the aged and who dont also care, but they are vey few. Parents must be loved becaude without them there will be no children. They should be punished.

oh my, what a very touching story... i cant imagine myself seeing any of my parents nor family on the street with nothing... and for my mother.. huh... i love her and my father more than anything else... They are the first and the last people who will understand you no matter what.. like me, even if they dont like my bf i just explain to them and they understand me as they all want is my happiness.. abandoning them isnt enough after giving us all their effort to have a good life...
That mother feel bad about what she heard for her children coz all mother only want a good life for them.. so i guess i will just let them go.. if they dont want to take care of her then they can put her in an institution and they will just give her what she need, though someday once they got old, they will also realized how wrong they are....
in my country we dont have institution for old... im not really sure if there is.. coz normally, we take care of our olds and its accepted here..
