Not just remember, but, I practiced to make or compose my own in getting benefits from that kind of nature "lesson and learn". In my opinion, we must respect the nature-nurture-learning, then, we can feel the learning and very thankful and grateful on our reminisce type of learning. I've embedded it on your other discussion.
But, it is OK just to tell and share with others whom missed to follow your other discussion about it; a commemoration ; http://file2.ws/poem4 - Once Spoke Never Broken

I can remember some moral stories more easily which are taught(told) at school.Because they are retold often or quoted in some stories or articles. But about the poems,no I can't remember any of them.Like you told,I can recall them when my kids are now studying the same. But I can remember some of the rhymes taught in school.Cheers!

One of my favorite poems... well a sonnet really was William Shakespear's Sonnet 130 titled My Mistress' Eyes. Learned in college and just always thought it was beautifully written. Also Phenomenal Woman, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, and Still I rise by Maya Angelou. Those were from high school.
