Ya I have a different problem than most people. I find it difficult to gain weight and am underweight.
Do I need to exercise more or less?

Exercise less. Eat more. Relax on the couch with maybe an ice cream bar, ha ha, or something. But be lazy until you get to the weight you need to be at. Then you can go back to exercising. Just do not get addicted to sitting around. Good luck!(:

Well, you might want to see your doctor. My friend Laura was underweight and her doctor prescribed apatite boosters. It worked kind of slow, but she is healthy now and at the proper weight.

I had went to a doctor for some other problems. We started talking about my weight gain. He asked several question and with my answers he gave this information.
If someone needs to gain weight due to being under weight they should eat Peanut Butter, Banans. This will make some gain weight the healthy way.
As far as exercise it will give you muscle weight and tone up the body. So Im sure if that is what you need to do. I would put the weight on first and then use exercise to tone what you have gained.
Good luck

I guess eating more meat will kinda good help on you. Eat more proteins then matched it with vegetables and fruits, then drink plenty of water everyday and most important don't stress yourself. You should not have lesser exercise as you don't have to burn a lot of calories in your body. Sleep on time and have enough rest.

I think both of exercise and nutrition is very necessary. The key is to have a good attitude, let yourself life full of joy, this will have a big effect to gain weight. At last, you must have perseverancde.

Its kinda hard for a slim people to gain weight. But with a proper way, it is possible though. In your case, you have to monitor all your food intake. What I mean here, you must eat more calories than what you burn. So, you have to record all your daily activities such as walking, stairs climbing, jogging, heavy things you lifted, etc, and calculate calories burned by those activities. This can be done by research from the internet.
Then, let's say if you burned 8,000 calories per day, than you should eat more calories that that, for example, 10,000.
Also, you need to go to fitness center and ask experts there on what are exercises that helps you build muscle, but not burn fats. Hope these helps =)

Thanks for the first intelligent answer ,I have seen. It just don't make seance to eat junk,It seems as if this will just add to the problem(at least for me).I have been working out for 6 months trying to convert flab, to muscle because it weighs more than the fat.It does not work though,I am just a bone bag with muscles now.I would love nothing more than to gain weight. We have all these tv shows ,on how to lose but no one thinks of the other extreme of this problem. Thanks for the idea
As far as I am concerned it is the best answer ,I have read.

gaining or losing weight also depends on genes that we are born with. for some people eating a lot also does not add to the weight.
it is said that having milk and two bananas in the morning can surely help one add some weight. exercising is good for health. it keeps the limbs in movement so stopping exercise is good a good idea.
also stay away from junk food but you can try including some butter and cheese in your food.
finally, eat inbetween meals this may help to some extent.
they might help but how far they would help, i am not sure, because i too have the same problem as yours. once i tried these things and i was able to increase some weight but later when again i wished to increase some more weight i could not...
