Less than a week ago I joined this site where you can play poker online in real time against other players. It's been fun and has shown me just what sort of a poker player I am, which is, not all that good I have played mostly the practice games where I lose no points nor gain any but it's good for getting a feel for the game and the players so that I have some sense of what I'm doing before I play in the money games. The other night I played a points game and, out of 38 players, I came in second This morning I got this email: You won an invitation to play in the "Nlop Weekly Champ Aug 2nd 2009 at 7:30" tournament which is scheduled to start 08/02/2009 07:30:00 PM. If you have not already done so, you must register for this tournament to play in it. To register for this or any other tournament, log on and click the Tournaments tab. All tournaments and their details, including dates and start times, can be found there. Sincerely, NLOP Customer Service Now, hopefully I can enter this tournament and stick around long enough to earn some points and really feel like a real player Have any of you ever played your favorite game in a tournament? How did you do? Were you surprised by the other players tactics or did you shock them with yours?

I love playing poker but I don't play it online for money, only play it for money when we are having game night at my house so it is just between mine and my hubby's family. I do watch the poker tour tournaments on television alot. Me and my husband both enjoy watching it. Well good luck hope that you do very well..

Thanks I got bumped out, but, as near as I can figure, I was somewhere between 300 and 400 and since we started out with 2500 people that means I didn't play that poorly. And it didn't cost me anything so that was even better.

I have joined on Texas hold em poker tournament, only on shoutout. Just shocked when on the "flop" I already have three of a kind, and my opponent just have 2 pair. I raise little bit to open that "Turn" and "River". But something happened when The River was oppened. I got full house, so im just raise again, but the opponent all in and I just call ( no have idea since I have full house ). But something bad occured. I just lost it! So bad experience that Im just standing at 2nd place. Here's the card : My card : pockets 5s Opponents card : 10 A Flop 10 A 5 Turn 10 A 5 8 River 10 A 5 8 10 Really surprised, i think i wasnt lucky at all, i just have loser hand at that time. Really shocked, just relieved that i not use real money.

I know the feeling. The other day I had a full house, 2 aces three kings. I finally went all in, thinking my opponent would fold. He called and showed me he had FOUR kings! What rotten luck LOL

I thought about joining full tilt. But I was looking up the guy that hosts the WSOP on television and he is affiliated with this NLOP site so I joined it instead. There's a lot of begginers on NLOP so I fit right in there :)

I do not like playing those things at all, and with my personality I better not.

True, you might become obsessed with poker and I would have to fight you for the computer
