Who is your favorite All Time Sports Figure and Why?

My all time favorite sports figure is Lou Gehrig, who played for the New York Yankees. I think that he was an incredible athlete and showed true determination. Battling ALS he continued to play and held the record for the most consecutive games for many years. To me, he demonstrated his strength both mentally and physically. He didnt whine or sit on the bench he played every day.

i think my sports figure is gabriel omar batistuta, ex roma`s player and fiorentina player. even i had many several sports figure but the most player that i like is batistuta. he is footballers. i like him because his dedication for fiorentina even finally he move to roma because he never get the tittle (trophy of italy league) if he is still in fiorentina. i see two keys in his himself, dedication, and thirsty to win (ambition to win something)

Gosh, I really don't have one. I guess I never took too much stock in somebody who got paid millions of dollars for a God given talent.

That's a hard question for me. I'm really not into sports all that much. I guess I would have to say Michael Jordan. He was really popular during my teen years and I spent many hours watching him play basketball on tv. He was amazing! Being a Bulls fan during that era was so great! I'll never forget his awesome moves.

My favorite all time sports figure was Pete Rose. He loved his sport, baseball, and it showed in everything he did. While he had some very public problems over gambling. He never really hurt his sport. Instead, I think he really helped his sport, because he showed his very human side.
