Bath day at Loverbear's house

Willy and Khuay during bath time. - They were taking turns giving each other a bath. The one in the sink was the one getting the bath and the one on the counter was giving the bath. Willy had just finished giving Khuay his bath...Willy had gotten bathed first.

Willy hasn't gotten his pix on the lot yet, so I thought I would share this one of them taking turns giving each other a bath in the sink. Willy is on the counter and Khuay is in the sink. You wouldn't believe that they are brothers...Willy is 15 pounds and Khuay is the lightweight at ten.

Now why can't I get my cats to be that cooperative? Well, actually one of my kittens did fall into the bathtub yesterday. The water was deeper than she is tall but fortunately I was right there to grab her. She was sort of stunned and then wanted to squirm out of my hands and run around the house all wet. I grabbed some paper towels and dried her as best I could, although I was in a hurry to leave. For some reason today she looks like she actually had a bath. Fortunately she is no worse for wear and is acting her normal self today.

Dinglebeary, the Maine C00N cat - Another one of my honeys, Ding Ding is a rescue cat, and full blooded Maine C00N cat. He lives up to his description in the cat books, he is a character. When he gets cold, he sleeps in the hamper! Nothing like opening the hamper to drop clothes in and having the daylights scared out of you by a pair of green eyes staring back at you!
When I was living in Montana I had a Siamese who loved, of all things, bubble baths! I found this out one night when I came home exhausted from work and decided to take a long luxurious bubble bath. I got ready to get into the tub full of water and bubbles and was startled to find, in the middle of the bath and looking very pleased with himself, my Siamese cat!!! He was so cute with the bubbles surrounding his head and dripping from his ears.... I got into the tub with him and we had a wonderful time taking the bath together. From then on when I took a bubble bath the cat would join me. I cried like a baby when he passed away and I just didn't have the heart to take another bubble bath. It's been over 25 years since I've taken a bubble bath. One day I may do it again; with the four crazy cats I've got now, one of them may decide to take a dip with me. I have to add the pix of Dinglebeary, my Maine C00n cat. He hasn't been posted yet and he is getting upset at being left out of the fan clubs. He was another one of my rescues that I still, to this day, can't figure out how I ended up with him. A friend of mine told me about him and I told her that I would HELP her find him a home. I got a call a few days later to pick up my cat. She had rescued him from an abusive situation (he was stuffed in a closet with his litter box and food next to each other, and the closet was about 2 foot by 3 foot. When my friend went to pick him up, he was perched precariously on a very flimsy box by the litter box. Her husband is very allergic to cats so the cat needed a new home immediately. I went and picked him up, brought him home, and spent a week trying to find a new home for him. Next thing I knew I was in love with him and now I wouldn't give him up for anything. So, MyLotters, meet Dinglebeary!

Khuay with his teddy bear - Khuay will agree to almost anything you want to do with him, including taking pictures with his teddy bear!
Siamese are my cat of choice. Second on the list are Maine C00n cats. But I have always had Siamese because of their personalities. This pair are so much fun and so different! All my other Siamese have been great "talkers", while Willy and Khuay will meow once and that's it. Willy is a riot when he is about to talk as he screws up his face like a prune and he breathes really deep then opens his mouth for a couple of seconds before he meows. When the meow comes out he looks soooooo surprised! You can't help but to laugh at him. Khuay is a bit better about talking, he simply meows and you're supposed to figure out by the one meow what he wants. But he's so looney tunes that he doesn't care if you understand or not. If you don't get it right he simply jumps up in your lap, gives you a deep loving look and then flops in your lap full length to get his belly scratched. Last night Khuay stretched out on the couch and I gave him a teddy bear, fortunately this time I had the camera handy...
