I love my breakfast with a nice cup of coffee or tea. But when you are pregnant, you can't have caffeine. So, what drink do you resort to? Especially if you are a coffee lover!

I love tea after having my breakfast. When i was pregnant i still continued to having tea because otherwise i felt my breakfast routine was incomplete. Probably you should try on some supplement that is meant for to-be-mothers. We have Mother's Horlicks here that is to be mixed with milk. Pregnant women and nursing mothers can drink this and also have some nutritional benefit from it. Probably you should look for such drinks that can help you gain energy and also reduce caffine intake :)

I still drank Tea throughout my pregnancy and had the odd coffee. I think the new recommendations say that you are allowed something like 1 or 2 cups of tea or coffee per day or the equivalent amount of ceffeine. I kind of stuck by that and didnt drink too much of it though, i used to drink 4 or 5 cups of tea a day before i was pregnant
