Do you ever dream about your own death?

It seems like I do all the time. The other night I dreamed that I committed suicide and came back as a ghost. I don't' know why, because I'm not suicidal, but I was in the dream. I was in my apartment after I died and there were strangers there, but I couldn't make myself be seen or heard.
I have also dreamed that I died from drowning and went to heaven, and once that I died and went to hell! I have dreamed about my own death many times. I don't know why.
I remember when I was a kid people told me that if you die in a dream you die for real, but I have proved this untrue, so far!!

yes it was a nightmare. I was running over the edge because some scary guy following me, he wanted to cut me in pieces and eat me.The thing is when you are running in your dream you motion is too slow and that was very suffocating because the more you wanted to run fast the slower you get.And suddenly I see myself eating that monster guy.

Now THAT'S a weird dream. I have never dreamed about eating somebody! Maybe you were a cannibal in another life and that is the old personality asserting itself. No, just kidding. But I would be very freaked out if I had a dream like that. Though I too have experienced the thing were you are running but can't go fast.

I don't think so. Sometimes I dream about running away from something and fighting for my life. Only a couple of times I had a dream where I jumped off a steep cliff, but I always woke up before I hit impact.
