Do you think that we tend to trust people less now a days

I feel that now a days we do not trust people very easily. Maybe it is because of the way the world is now. People have become so self centric. Even we do not trust the next door neighbour leave alone strangers. I still remember when we were small how people would lend a helping hand to one another and how the neighbours were always there for one another. But now even I do not trust people very easily. Everyday you read in the newspaper or get to hear from people about various cases of kidnapping, looting, murder etc.And you will find the people whom you trusted most have done the job. Now a days you do not even know whom to trust. Even I would think twice before helping out a person on the streets or anywhere else even if his needs were really genuine.What do you people say?

Yes of course, the world has become a unreliable place to live in people have become too selfish that they just do anything to satisfy themselves irrespective of even if it is their old friend, relative or neighbor. It is necessary to think twice before helping anybody and when you need a help from someone. None can be trusted these days and the best way is to help yourself.

yeah today how people are make it hard to trust others, even people we know. i know who i can trust and who i cant trust

i would say so, i know i trust a very few people really, and can count on less. i think more people are out for themself only, the lack of resepct is lower then ever, family vavle is gone as well. more people doing what they want and just to get what they want from others

yeah,i agree with you totally. while it is not necessarily because we are self centric, it is just that the world has changed completely. even if you are fair to people, it is considered as weakness and people try to exploit you. it is quite sad.
