Did you watch Torchwood?

If you did, what did you think?
I thought this third series was brilliant. Torchwood has always tried to be a grown up Doctor Who and at last it succeeded. Before it had always been a bit cringeworthy in my opinion although I really did love it, especially the end of series 1 and most of series 2 which was a huge improvement on one.
Torchwood, like Doctor Who, was able to shock me, make me cry, make me laugh and make me smile. It was very well written, I loved all of the characters and the ending was satisfying. I really do hope there is a fourth series!
If you are reading this and you haven't ever watched Torchwood or just this series, I really believe you should check it out, even if you didn't like the first 2 series as it is different! It is seriously worth watching!

Just read that there will be a fourth series. Yipee! I enjoyed all the 'Children of the Earth' episodes. And the second season finale was also one of my favorites.
TV shows I watch. Quite a few. I'm partial to Sci-fi. I've been watching - Fringe, Lost, Primeval, Dr. Who, Sactuary, True Blood, Weeds, Nip/Tuck, Warehouse 13, Lie to Me, Dollhouse........

I enjoy Torchwood. The first season was a bit dodgy but it really picked up in the second season. "Children of Earth" was good and dramatic, although the final episode wasn't quite as good as I hoped it would be. I hope they do a fourth season with Gwen rebuilding the team. I think Captain Jack can be left out of it for a bit, he's a bit too out of the ordinary - much more fun to concentrate on normal 21st Century people struggling to cope with the various problems that Torchwood has to deal with.

Hi,
I thought the third series was excellent. I was a bit unsure when I heard about the new format of a mini series but it did work well and it got huge ratings on BBC1, and as a result they have been green lighted for a forth series
I love Doctor Who but I did enjoy Torchwood a lot more as Jack is such a great character and I am sure we will get more back story on in in future episodes. I do hope that the forth series of Torchwood will go back to a full season and have stand alone episodes but in saying that I will take anything they give just as long as they keep on making it.

i think if there is more to come it will be caused by jack meeting the doctor again and deciding that reforming torchwood is the right thing to do

So far I've seen season 1, currently rewatching 2 and the mini-series Children of the Earth(?).
One and 2 I throughly enjoyed (well obviously or I wouldn't be rewatching two haha) but the mini-series made me wonder about the future of this lovely show. I mean with what happened are they planning on bringing in more people or are they just going to leave as is?
