I have a friend, who will like to race with us when watching any shows, movie or series.. reason being, she will want to let us know what next coming up, which we hate it to the max! At anytime, if we tell her that we are watching any thing, she will come and ask us "you want to know the ending?" We will be dead angry with her, cause even we say NO, she will brag it on.
So, do you like people telling you the ending? Feel free to share.. and thanks for responding.. Happy MyLotting

I do not like it when people tell me the ending of a movie, book, tv show, etc. I'm one of those people who always tries to figure out what is going to come up next. If somebody tells me what is going to happen then it takes the fun out of watching for me. The point of watching/reading for me is to get to the end. If somebody tells me what happens, there is no point in watching to the end.

That depends. When I really have no time to watch a certain movie, then that's the time that I ask how the movie will end. But if I do have the time and I really, really want to see a certain movie, whoever spoils the ending for me should start running!
But in my experience, those who do tell me the ending, do it by accident. They have no idea that I haven't seen a certain movie. They just tell it without any purpose of spoiling the fun. Unlike your friend though. Now, with your friend, I do understand why you feel that way. Because it's like, she's acting deaf and couldn't hear the words " NO, DON'T TELL...".

Maybe your friend needs an EXTRA SPECIAL DOSE of her own medicine. The next time that you learn that she badly wants to see a certain movie, ruin the suspense for her! That way, she will finally understand how it feels to be told what the movie is all about when she wants to see it for herself.
Maybe after that "treatment", she'll be extra careful not to say anything anymore.
Goodluck!!!

jcj_111776, I bet she won't learn even that way cause this girl is super fast in catching movies.. she is like one of those that will go once the movie released.. anyway, what we do nowadays is just avoid her if we know we are going to watch movie, or don't even mention to her about that..

jcj_111776.. thanks for the understanding on why I am being so with this friend of mine.. yes, indeed she just turn her deaf ear when we says it's enough.. and yup, by knowing the ending, it could let us determine if we need to watch the movie since we don't have the luxury of 24 hours, but not being so detailed..

Pass me the shotgun and let me deal with her. I really hate people who have the uncontrolable urge to spoil a movie by blabbing the ending or a twist in the storyline. I can tollerate someone saying "ooh the next bit is great you have to watch it", but the minute they start to divulge too much information I will often bluntly tell them to be quiet or go somewhere else where they won't feel the urge to spoil things.

Dear cwong77...
This is really a fun topic, hahaha...
You know how I solve this problem??? I make sure I watch it at
earliest, the 'Premier', the 'Sneak Preview' or the 'Special Screening'!
I normally will only tell these if anyone asked me :-
1) This movie, you can give a miss (if lousy)
2) This movie is lovely, you should watch with who...
or not suitable for children, too violent, etc..
3) This movie is fantastic, do not MISS, must watch!
4) This is great movie...make sure you focus and listen
properly.....(if there is a twist in the story..that need focusing)
5) Don't leave the cinema immediately, stay on ..there is something
interesting after the movie credits..eg. Pirates of the Caribean!
If they really insist, and want to know since they won't be watching,
then I will be the story teller BUT half way though coz they might
change their minds.., mostly probably I would ..great ending..
It is really annoying if someone tell the stories which you have not
watch it yet...50% of the thrills gone...the reason we watch movie IS
THE THRILLS, SUSPENSE , ANTICIPATION...so...let them know...PLS DO NOT
TELL ME NOW, we can discuss about the movie when all of us watched already!
Thanks and do keep in touch!

Dear cwong77...forgot point no (6)
6) I will tell them to go early, sometimes animation like
'Wall E', Madagscar, Ratatouille will have knick-knack
at the beginning of the show. That is quite intersting,
and funny too. I will tell them go into the cinema early,
so not to miss the extra 'goodies' before the main show start!
That's value for money!
Warmest regards,
Iriene

I hate someone trying to tell the end of a movie.I and I suppose most of us don't like this habit.Isn't it a kind of sadistic. But I will threaten my friends and my daughter to reveal the end of a movie or book and blackmail them to get something done jokingly.

balasri, you are just another 1 of us, who dislike to know the ending before we even have a chance to start watching it.. and indeed, yes, it's very annoying for people who just can't stop be overly 'caring' to us, and help us save that every bucks in life..

cwong hi from hatley no way do I like someone telling
me the ending when I just started watching a movie.
that is so maddening. once a f riend paid my way to
this movie she had already seen only to spoil it
all by telling me the ending before it was half over.
grrrrrrr. I got up and left and she could not understand'
why and I told her if you have to ask you still would not
understand.

Hatley.. bit harsh ya.. but that's the way I think we got to make our friends understand that we just don't like to be told what is going to happen next.. and not just the ending I mean.. even the tiny little shots that happen should be watch with our own eyes.. I wonder why do you go watch movie with this girl, since she has already watch once.. or did she follow you instead?

Hah! Some people just cannot understand the fact that it kills off the excitement. Especially when it's about a movie that I am particularly interested it, someone telling the ending before it actually happens is a definite kill joy! And I experienced it more than one. nothing could spoil the fun as effectively as it does. hehe

Normally, I do not want to people to give away parts of the movie. Sometimes, however, I want to know certain things, so I ask specific questions and say that I only want to know the answer to that specific question. Then, it annoys me when people will not answer that question and respond by saying "just watch the movie", especially when these are the same people that want to give away the ending when I don't want to know!

Yes, same here...I also really hate people who get satisfaction in telling the main story of a movie even if you are not asking for it... I hate it especially when I also have a plan of watching the said movie.

Sometimes I do ask other people what the ending is like. Weird huh? Such as romantic movies, I don't really like sad ending, I will ask other first about the ending. But of course not tell me all that happened in it.
Back home, my sister and her friends will always go to the movies for premier. I just like to wait for DVD. Then we will watch it together. When watching horror movie, come to the scary part, I will ask her whether the actor die or not, just like that. She sometimes say, "just watch!!" I can't help myself asking.
But I myself will never tell other people about the ending though because I know how certain people hate that.

This is totally one of my pet peeves. I don't usually run into people who will offer to tell me the ending, but many times in conversation about a book i am reading, or when asking for a review of a movie i am interested in seeing, someone will start giving away too much information, and i always try to stop them! I want to find out for myself! After i have seen the movie or finished the book, i would be glad to have a more in depth disscussion about it with them, but don't ruin it for me!
But then again, this is also coming from the girl who can't stand it if someone picks up one of my magazines and starts flipping through it, and commenting on articles i hvaen't had a chance to read yet. I tend to hide my new magazines until i have had a chance to read them, then put them out on the table to share with anyone else who is around for this very reason.

no i really do not like it when people do that it gets frustrating and they alwasy seem to ruin anything i want to watch, read, hear about, etc. i have a lot of friends that do that and whenever they do i just say ssshhhhh i dont want to know.. that is of course if i actually want to see that movie or read that book. if i dont i let them babble.
