Is there some advices for which type or brand digital camera should i shoose?

i have decided to buy a ditial camera recently. but there are lots of type and brands in the ditital production market so i have no idea about what kind of digital camera should i choose to.i'm interested in sonyT700 cause i feel it so beautiful .it have bright colour like pink or silvery especially suit for girls to use it.but some people said that sonyT500 have hign cost performance.so i 'm confused to dicided it. could you give me some advices for this question or recommend some others digital camera which are worth to buy like canon . nikon or samsung and so on.
