I know you can wear anything inside the church coz thats the house of god and good accepted anyone who come into him no matter who you are, where you come from, no matter what you wear...
Some religion, i guess didnt allowed Jeans inside the church.. i have friend from other religion and she tld me that Jeans is not allowed if they wish to attend mass as jeans is for en only... well, i totally disagree though i respect every opinion... Im comfortable wearing jeans..
Proper dress code: no low back and low front dress or blouse, no spaghetti blouse, no backless, no mini dress or mini skirt.. not that heavy make-up or too dark make-up...
Why i say this? coz some people go to church seems like they will go to the party.
Though i believe that god will accept you whatever you wear as he is kind hearted and understanding, but its not god who will see you wearing those but those people around you.. You will just going to get the attention of other people and distract the priest...

Personally my Church I attend has a lot more of a Dress code and standards than most people out there believe, but we use it as a way of a personal conviction on ones heart as well. But when it comes to going to church, I feel people should dress up, especially on Sunday wearing their Sunday best but not to where they look like they are going to a party all caked with heavy makeup and Jewelry but to where they look nice. For me this means a woman should wear a Dress, and look nice and men in slacks, dress shirt and tie. What is wrong really in looking your best for God?

Below are some responses of my Christian friends:
Our church has no dress code as long as you come dressed.
A man who comes with gold rings in splendid clothing and a poor man who comes in filthy clothing (James 2:2) should be treated equally as brothers.
God sees your heart through your clothes; what your heart feels about God comes out in what your wear.
Our church has no dress code, but has undress code.
It's not what you wear but how you wear it.
Wear our best, God knows our best.
Dress comfortably but not make others uncomfortable.
We prefer a sheep in wolf's clothing than a wolf in sheep's clothing.

You should wear the best that you have out of respect for God. If it's blue jeans and a tee shirt then so be it. But God is supposedly being worshiped in the church, He should be put on equal footing as the president and one wouldn't wear the sane kind of clothes one would wear to a Grammy or Oscar awards. One should be as neat and clean as possible.

I think it's important to be appropriately dressed. I think people should care about what they dress in period. Regardless where they are.

There should be no dress code to go to church because god is supposed to love everyone and should love you no matter what you look like.

I used to be one of the ones who wore anything and everything to Mass, until the day I realized that people have no problem dressing up for a big business interview or social party, but when it comes to encountering the King of Kings at church, they have no problem wearing their most casual clothes. This made no sense to me, and it was something I was really convicted of, so I've disciplined myself to dress up (veil and all) to go to Mass...even to adoration and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and to choir practices, which I've been invited to join in on, especially if the rehearsal is taking place in the sanctuary.
