Hello everyone, I was not here for couple of days but during that time my mother had signed up here. I was very glad to know about that. It's been a year that i kept telling her about this great site. I told her that it is a very good site to hang out and share some thoughts as well as to earn extra cash. It's very perfect for her since she is always at home. She told me that she like it and its indeed a very good site. She never knew that there's one like this. She was happy to tell me. Now i have learned that she haven't used my referral link when she signed up so as i checked on my referral list, it wasn't there. We shared same computer and since there's already an account affiliation i declared that to mylot as policy. Now i wonder if there's any way to make her account credited as one of my referral since i was the one who make the effort to convince her to signed up? Is there any chance or way to do that? Is there someone here who can help and give advice or Is there someone have similar experience? Please share your thoughts. I appreciate all your responses. Thanks and have a nice day!

Use the 'contact link'
http://www.mylot.com/o/contactus.aspx
Go to the drop down menu until you come to 'other'.
A box will open and you can explain what has happened, mentioning your mother's username, and send it to myLot.
If they can help you then they will
I have two friends on my list who had the same problem and it was resolved for them.
Good luck!

Yup seen that too
Things are not difficult to understand
if you use a bit of logic and understand English - and I fear that could be part of the problem

The only way that you could get your mother to join under you as your referral would be for her to close the account she has and to start another using your referral link. There is no way that you can attach an existing account as the referral of another.

Hello owlwings, thanks for dropping by your thoughts. It also came to my mind about that but i think that will make things complicated as she already start posting and she has earned her credit too. It will be complicated for her. Anyway, I am just really hoping if there's any chance that it will not cause me problem to mylot and for my Mom to waste her effort but i feel relief now that there's a chance like what mysdianait shared. I will try her advice. Thanks and have a nice day.

I would write to MyLot and let them know that she intended to be your referral. It has been a long time now, but I believe that is what my husband had to do.

I don't think there will be anyway for you to get referral credit from that sign-up. I think the best way if for your mom to sign up to a new username and abandon the one she's using now and make sure that the new username will be using your referral link.

You may not get positive reply from mylot for this issue as there are more possibilities for others also asking for the same request for building their down line, if they have joined here without any referral link. The only option you are having is to close the existing account of your mother in the proper channel and then creating the new account with your referral link. Before starting her activity here, make sure she is in your down line.

Same here i guess, i remember i had a friend that i invited through the mylot invitation. She signed up but was not credited to me also. That was two years ago. It was unfair but i feel that its a hard process to contact and make complain to mylot so i just decided to forget about it but now i feel that i have to do something. Anyway please let us know if you have contact mylot and what did they say. I will share too if i have results as well and sure i will be glad to add you. Have a nice day!

i have read mysdianait's comment in one of the responses. yes you can write to mylot and you just go to the link she had given. well, this actually happened to me. my friend here was so interested to join mylot and i was the one who actually sign-up for her. i opened my referral link and signed-up for xchyler, my referral. when i was finished filling-up the sign-in details, i let her do her first posts. to our great shock, the post which was supposed to be made by her, my avatar displayed in the page. so i wonder what went wrong. i told her to log-out from mylot so i investigate. i found out that her name never appeared in my referral list. so i write to mylot using the complaint page. i explained everything. after two or three days, i received a email message (notification) from mylot, that i have a new referral. thanks to mylot and they answer my complaint. thanks to mylot too, that even a small amount, i am now earning from xchyler's earnings.

Hi cheenlly! My sis in law referred me to mylot five moths ago but i signed up thru her link which was on her blogspot. She said she never received the confirmation email from mylot and i said neither did i receive an invitation to join but i found out later that her invitation got into my spam folder. Well, that saddened us both because we thought i have mistakenly signed up under another member's link. I may have posted just a few responses since joining but the thought that she never gets anything from referring me seemed so unfair. I mentioned this to MysD and she advised me to contact Admin. I did, two weeks ago and i'm sure you'll be delighted about what happened next! Mylot Admin responded in just a short while that same day and my concern got positive result! I am now under my sis in law as her referral and not only that, her earnings updated and all her expected 25% from my posts that accumulated since my day one here, eventhough it is just a few cents, was also added to her!
I hope your concern gets immediate positive result, too! I can guarantee you, from my own experience that Mylot Admin does listen and take action for the benefit of members like us!

Hi there, first of all i wanted to ask if you have given the link to your mom using an email or directly copy pasted the link and send it to her. I don't have a problem when it comes on referring a friend here on Mylot. I do see them under mine but they are not that active though.
Anyway back to your topic, i don't have an idea about shared IP address which i thought would be illegal. But when you say affiliated link, which means if your in a library or internet cafe, hhmmmm i hope Mylot will be able to answer that question for you.
I have joined here for quite some time. But to have someone joined me using the same link, nope, i haven't done that. Sorry not much help, but just follow what other Mylotters has to say.

you know the policy of mylot right? once you convince someone to join here in this site, he / she might know the referal link of yourself so that when she decided to join and sign up she in under your downline, that's networking works. it will never credit all her points and earnings to you anymore because she signing without your link.

Is it so important whether your mother is in your referral or not?
Do you so care these several cents from your mother?
I just don't know what to say.

If a user earns $10 a month
that would be $2.50 in referral earnings for their upline.
In this case it would be LOST referral earnings.
Does that make you aware of the importance?
