Why do people hide their gender in their profile?

Hi Dearones, I really had this doubt for a long time. Is there any stange reason to hide their gender in profiles? Not only in mylot but also in many public n/w websites... Changing username is fine and good. I accept it. Whats there to hide gender? Please get me out of this strange doubt. He is going to be a male or she is going to be a female. Nothing other than that... I do see on some profiles with only the username and age. Please post your nice thoughts on this.... Have a nice day..

I have no idea why others hide their gender. I have not hidden mine on any site but that still causes me to be mistaken for what I am not because not all users even bother to open profiles Don't be surprised during your travels here to see some conflicting things though. Sometimes there are males who talk about giving birth and girls who talk about girlfriend problems.... The Lot is such FUN!

Well. I haven't think about this and is interesting- yes. Maybe the SECURE way is more useful here..

I think some people hide their gender because they have no other options. Like they didn't know if she's a female or he is a male. I think some bisexuals sometimes do that.
