Sightseeing in Barcelona, Spain

In the middle of August I'm going to go to Spain, more specifically, Lloret de Mar, near Barcelona (will spend couple of days in Barcelona as well). I'd appreciate any advice for what can I visit here, what can be the most interesting. I know some usual things to see there, like Gaudi architecture etc, but if there are any less popular, but still worth places to see.
