Do you miss out in life by only ever having one love?

I have only ever loved one person and as far as I know he is the only one who has ever loved me. I am blissfully happy with him but I always wondered if I am missing out on experiences in life by only ever having one lover. I have dated other men in the past but nothing serious so I'm not entirely sheltered, but I often wonder what it would be like if I had had more lovers. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones who never has to experience heart ache!!
Has anyone else ever only had one lover and would they ever want to change it? Do you think part of life is to take the bad times with the good times and are those who don't shetlered from the reality of life? Also do you think first love can last forever as it worries me that many people seem to think that it can't?

loving truly a person is much beneficial than loving so many... before i tend to imagine that my life would be much better if i had so many boyfriends but whenever i hear my friends telling me how lucky i am that there's one guy who's loving me more than himself, then i realized that i should be contented... at least i was loved truly unlike those who had so many but aren't the genuine ones...

I always use to think the same as yourself but now I am definately sure that I am truly one of the lucky ones.

No if you are happy with what you have then you are a lucky one...I look at my sister who married her first boyfriend and I have never seen any couple happier, I envy her sometimes, I say appreciate what you have you are lucky believe me...

It's nice to hear that it can really work for some people like your sister. People always seem to give me negative views.
