What should be the minimum number of students in every classroom? How much will be the maximum? In India, that too in a government school, there will be atleast 60 to 70 students in classroom. Because, the teacher cannot concentrate on every student and the students are very much bad in their basics.. So, What should be the minimum number of students in every classroom? How much will be the maximum?

i think minimum should be not less than 10, maximum should be 30. anymore than that it will be hard to study.

That is also a problem here in this country. Most public schools are quite overcrowded that oftentimes the classroom facilities are already very much lacking. There would be 3 students to one chair/desk. Something like that. Also, the huge the number of students, and only 1 teacher to facilitate, the students would most likely have a 'class' of their own. Perhaps doodling on their notebooks, playing with other students, rather than actually listening to the teacher. The minimum number of students that I think 1 teacher can handle and monitor well would be 30. The maximum should be 45. Those numbers are substantial enough that each student can be attended to by the teacher in case he/she needs more time and effort to understand the lessons.

That's one sad reality here in the Philippines. Too many students are in a classroom, about 60 to 70, even more. That's due to the influx of students. A lot of them came from private schools who could not afford the fees anymore. The number of students will depend on the size of the classroom. For me, 20 to 25 students will be an ideal class size for a standard classroom with 35 as the maximum. In that number, the teacher can be effective and learning will be better.

here in the philippines public schools also have around 60-70 per class. i think the right amount should not be more than 40. we always have around 35 in elementary and high school. then in college around 40, we have one class though, where there are almost 50 in it.

For maximum and minimum number of students in the classroom based on the subject learnt, for learning language (any language) maximum students are 20 students because they have to be interact, discuss, make a small talk between each other, if more than 20 the teacher will never make do the students well, and the students cannot communicate and cannot practice their langauge as good as possible. And for minimum number of language student for me are 5 students, so they can communicate between each other. For other subejcts the maximum number of students are 40 students, more than 40 the teachers will not be able to manage them well. and for minimum are 10 students, because the teacher will ask them to do any exercises, and they will do the exercises in the classroom better because they can discuss with the better students..

I think a minimum of 40 to 50 students is just fine. Anything more than that is difficult for any teacher to manage. He/ she would not be able to give individual attention to any of the students. In the bargain the intelligent students will keep improving and the not so average students will just lag behind in their studies.

The minimum students should be in a class. if the huge crowd will be increased in class. the teacher will be suffered and he can not teach to students becase he cant constrate ..

Here in Denmark there are few students in the classrooms compared to many other countries. When I was in elementary school there were about 20 students in my class. I went to a public school first and after that I went to a private school. In the private school the teachers were better and we had more homework, but the number of students in one class was about the same in both kinds of schools. In high school we were about 30 students in each class. After a while some of the students dropped out and then there were about 20 students left.

The maximum number of students in a room depends on the capacity of the room and the number of students in a primary, secondary or in tertiary levels. In our country students from public schools enroll in primary or elementary levels or in secondary reach more than 50 if their are lot of students. Sometimes, because of the small room. Classes are held outside the school building where the teacher carried her own blackboard and taught the students in a waiting shed. This is mostly true in rural areas. Then, if is in terms of the private schools. Students hold classes in a spacious room, not crowded and ranging from 20 students per room. The same things is true in tertiary or college levels more students are enroll in public schools but in private they are minimize in numbers. The prime differences is in terms of the tuition fees, amenities, convenience and learning differences. generally, public schools are more crowded than private schools. The standard of educational system is more excellent in private schools than in public schools. This is from my own experience. The under privilege are students from public schools lack in academic skills and those who succeed after graduation are students from first section, belong to the screen students who are the brightest and intelligent. The rest of public school section ranging form section 2-20 and classes schedules from morning, afternoon and evening shifting classes. Because of many students per ratio of lack of teachers. many students do not receive the right educational learning..Whereas in private schools, the students section are only compose of at least 6 sections. Their are little students but they learn more and teacher taught them well...The maximum students per classroom should not exceed 50 for me and the minimum should be 20in numbers..with this numbers the teachers could focus to taught all of his students with all the subjects very well and well absorb y students mind helping them to develop their academic and extra curricular skills..

In my opinion an ideal class should have between 25-30 students. Beyond that the class becomes unruly and noisy. Moreove the teahcer will not be able to do justice as it becomes practically difficult for him/her to give individual attention to all the children. The student who does not receive teachers attention will not perform well. Have around 20 to 25 students in the class, give them individual attention, it will work wonders. As a teacher you will be adored. www.studentguide.co.in
