Hotter weather coming for the world

I heard someone talking about how the sun goes through a five year cycle and that we are just coming out of one, they said a cycle starts off hotter then cools down near the end, meaning we are to be getting much hotter sun in the next couple of years as it is the start of a new cycle...OMG I am not sure I could cope with hotter seeing as we had one day that reached 45 last summer....I think I will move to antarctica....

the hottest I've had is 36 and that was many years ago in a tropical country 45 would feel like living in a desert and an african once told me it is 50 degrees over there so yeah that's scary I hope your place doesn't end up like africa the habitat there will be suffering a lot in a temperatur that high

It seems like there are a lot more fires happening all over the world now. It seems like we will all get a dose of it sooner or later.

It has been a very chilly summer here.....really chilly. I am still wearing a jacket in the morning....I hate to think of what this winter will bring. I can see what you mean by the cycle....Next year might be warmer....hopefully here anyway.

I would much prefer to be cold than hot and it worries me to see how the bush fires are getting so much worse and in so many countries, it is really scary to think the weather is going to get even hotter which means more bush fires...very scary

I worry about the weather too. I do know also that no matter where we live, in a warm climate or a hot one each one of them have things about the area that some people can not handle. You just need to weigh each one against the other and see which one you can handle the bad things the most.

I would corroborate this claim by doing an internet search of places like Nasa or something. I can see how people who don't want to believe in global warming might accept this kind of an argument without checking the facts. Why check the facts when they may not tell you what you want to hear?

I think that Antarctica is going to see a onflunx of people moving in. We had a wonderful storm here a week ago and several days of civil temps. It was so nice. We need to learn how to live in the heat cause it is coming. Hard to take though. It is a matter of eating differently and fluids. This will help.

Hello my friend lilaclady Ji, It is better to face the situation, than running away from the problems. Some times Antartica may become occean due to rise in temperature, tehn where would you plan. So better understand reasons for Global warming and do something which will survive human race. May God bless you and have a graet time.

winters have a solution but summers donot have a solution that was a quate from india . the temp already touches 50c in india . i think that one possible reason for this is global warming also .the ozone is getting depleated day by day . i donot know why we break something that we donot know how to fix it..

I am also feeling the strong heat here even though I am used to the hot climate in my country but the weather now is abnormally hot. Maybe it is a warning to all sinners that hell is worse and incomparable to what we are experiencing now.

Hello, I live in California. This year is wired, the cold weather was so cold and snowing as well, which we never see snow at the lower ground. But this it was snowing and icy on my windshield. But now it is summer season and the weather is hot... hot and HOT. sometimes we reach over 100F and I dont know other state that always HOT. it might be worst than here.

You are right. It's getting warmer in my region situation as well. I just need more ventilation each time and to wear clothes made from cotton most of the time.

Hi lilaclady, Ohh! we do need some hot weather as we had nothing but rain this summer, it warm at the moment but its very dull and more rain later, we only had a couple days when we had sunshine so we do need it here in the UK. Tamara

Hi lilaclady, I'd rather be too hot than be cold, even though the temps now are too hot to function in properly I still prefer them to the cold. Now I actually heard it was a 30 year cycle, not a 5 year one. So that means the winters will be longer and colder and the summers hotter and longer. That about pans out with the shortening of the other 2 seasons which we have seen here in the last couple of years. Last winter was the wettest one here in thirty years so it could be the start, what a horrid thought.

yes you are right and to say the fact that winter periods all over the world are being shorten while the summer periods are getting much more hotter than usual, even the ice regions are melting at much more faster speeds that what obtains several years back

I honestly do think we are dealing with massive climate change. I do not really know what is happening exactly. I also do not think most of science does either. They are just hit and missing with guesses.

Hi lilaclady, Just wanted to let you know that the warming of the planet you talk is caused by sunspots which in turn cause solar flares and they cause electromagnetic radiation that cooks our planet a little more than usual. I did just key out a good 2 paragraph message explaining details about this for you but my stupid browser deleted it all :(:(:( SO i'm posting some links to pages i think might help. Hope this helps you understand why its happening. Sorry if not http://www.astronomycafe.net/qadir/q2105.html http://physics.uoregon.edu/~soper/Sun/cycle.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_cycle

I wouldn't mind hotter summer here, since I spent most of my life in tropical country. but summer above 35 degrees C (that's hot summer for me) is not normal here. All these years I only know summer gets to 28s anything above that is rare. so if we ever get hotter summer then it's not a good sign. located in the north, not far from the arctic, especially.

I have never heard this before. I do know that it changes from time to time we get the same type of weather as it was years ago. I can not take the heat. I do not like the cold either. It's just that I can add clothing as much as I need to so I'll be warm. I can not walk around naked all of the time, lol.

I am in Ohio and it has been pretty mild over all. I know there has been a few really hot days but in the past 30 days it has seemed rather cool to me. I have the AC all the time due to asthma and allerigies but over all pretty nice here. I will say that I feel it will stay warmer longer this year say until about October or so and than it will start to get cold again. At least that is something I hope for since I have no car yet and I cant stand walking everywhere in the winter. Take care friend and happy mylotting to you.

I don't know whether one day the temperature outside will get so high. But even so, I hope there are still people who can adapt such hot weather, or we might disappear from the earth. Actually, the weather nowadays confused us greatly. Some say it is getting warmer while others say it is getting colder. And there are also opinions claiming that we are more and more subject to extreme weather. I don't know which is true globally, but I do know from my own experience that the weather is indeed unusual and is getting more and more problematic. Take the weather of my city for example, in summer, it is getting cooler and cooler. But several years ago, it was so hot that I rarely want to go outside during the day. I remember playing with snow once was common for me and my friends in winter. But in recent years, it has become a luxury.
