So what are all the car dealerships doing with all of the old trade in cars? Just a suggestion, but I think it would be really great if those cars can be donated to people who don't have cars, so everyone can benefit from this program. What do you guys think?

Hi, TJMoney!
What a wonderful idea! Many have suggested they make the parts available for those who restore old cars - at a cost, of course, but the rules require that they be crushed and their metal recycled. What a waste!

Hello cobrateacher! Wow what a waste of a good automobile. Some of those vehicles aren,t even that bad. I know someone would be able to get some good use out of them. That way everyone can benefit from the program. But I guess they would probably be trading those vehicles in as well.

I'm sure my 1987 Oldsmobile is considered a clunker, but I can't afford payments on what's left of the cost of a car after the rebates they offer. It's nothing to look at, it's noisy and it shakes, but it gets me where I have to go reliably. It's the first clunker I've ever had, but my job no longer pays as well as it used to. I'd love to be able to pass it along to some person who needs it!
