How would you react if someone made fun of you ?

I was told by my parents that making fun of others is not the right thing to be done . As when we make fun of others we should remember that the position in which the other person is in can be in the near future my position too .. so we should never make fun of others neither entertain others doing the same.

I never make fun of others. In my circle of friends, all are well respected, caring and very loving. They provide a good support system to each one. We all have lot of fun by leg-pulling but not in an insulting way.

hello sarojInc, good morning..as I think about myself, it is quite evident to me that I dont tolerate nay fun or jokes hurled at me.. I just cant tolerate this..so I m not very social ..not very popular person..very dry..very serious..cannot befriended with ease..thats that..accepted..have a nice day..bye

On;y intimate friends or relatives can be allowed to do that.In fact,I love them to be like that,making fun on me,pulling my legs.I too counter them out of joy.But I can't encourage a stranger to play fun with me.I will take strong steps to scold him and will teach what his limits are.Cheers!

You know I agree with you, but even if in a friend circle, they keep on making fun of you.. and don't even stop when we tell them to, well then it just gets out of hand doesn't it? :O

Really enjoy the topic of your discussion. I really won't do anything. Just laugh with others and let it go... If we really that into heart means, thats it whole day is lost.... It really makes us vengeance to search for a situation to make fun of the exact person... My personal feeling is ... I have gone into this many times and I'll simply let it go off. Don't do unto others if you don't want to do unto you--Confucius Thats my principle. I don't make fun of others as much as possible as I know how it will feel if that will ever happen to me. I can still remember when I was in college, I am a favorite of my professor in our subject and he asked to read a certain part of the book infront of the class. While reading it, a classmate of mine was laughing out loud alone. I stopped reading and stared at her. When she stopped laughing, I asked her what was funny and she said "Nothing." I even asked her if she is done laughing and she felt embarrassed for what she did. I continued reading but afer that, its like nothing happened to me. I just didn't take it personally. If ever someone will make fun of me intentionally, I will also do the same to him/her as I am more sarcastic, I can make others laugh based on his/her own mistakes and usually they get offended on me then they will shut up their mouth as they were embarrassed.

Dear friend, I would like make fun making sure it will not hurt them. Moreover do see it as a fun if someone make fun of me provided it is not using any sort of fun that really hurts me. Just fun that is not hurting.

I'm ok when it comes to someone having or sharing a joke with me but if someone was making fun of me then that's another thing altogether, I wouldn't like it and it's actually downright nasty! I would never do that to someone. People that make fun of others obviously have nothing better to do with their time! Andrew

I don't care much if somebody makes fun of me, but it should not cross its limits. Sometimes I also laugh with them and enjoy it. Do you think I am a cool person? Lol. On the other end, I don't like to make fun of anybody. I do it very very rarely. I also hate it when people make fun of somebody in a way that it hurts the concerned person.

It is important that we know how to handle the situation. Just ride into it, but in case it's a serious one then that's the time to take some action.

if among the very good friends, it will be ok to me too. but if before some strangers or not so good mates, maybe will fell embarrassed or unhappy. in fact, i seldome make fun of others, but joke, i believe it's different between the making fun of sb and joking sb.

I don't recommend it. no one should make fun of others. Everyone in this world is unique in its won right and needs to be respected for the qualities he posses. Intentionally or unitentioanlly no one should be hurt for the way he looks,he talks or behaves in his life.

if i had made fun of someone then i would also keep the guts to get the same . but if someone makes fun of me without any reason then i'l ignore it one to two times but if he continues then i'll try to oppose him by making fun of him either too and if he gets on nerves then ill smash him with a nice punch.

When I was very young, about seven I think, I contacted ringworm, a disease I got from my cat. This meant I had to have my head shaven, and wear a little white cap to school. Nearly all of the class made fun of me everyday. So much so that my grades slumped. I believe the actions of those kids affected me for the rest of my life. I have never had a lot of confidence in myself since those early days, and has held me back in life. Having had that experience, I don't make fun of anyone.

i used to be fun of all the time well growing up, but now i make fun of my own self. but often anyone who knows me wont or dont try to go head to head with me as far making fun of each other. i win too many times

No, I will not make fun of others as it not good and it could destroying other people self esteem. I also don't like other people to do that to me, so i restrained myself to do it. For me, those people who do like that is people with low self esteem who find fun by making other look bad, but the truth that person is the one is having problem. I will ignore anyone who make fun of me,a nd when it only necessary I will take action. I'm a very patient person.

I have couples of relatives like to make fun on people in my family. Sometimes it gets me embarrassed so I just smile and hope they move their attention quick. If I could fire back, I would definitely say something back! :-p
