I like both! But of course, the book always give me the details that I need to fully comprehend the film. I like the book because it made me imagine to great heights and it keeps my love of reading in its peak. I love the film because I see the characters in action and it was very stimulating visually. If I have to choose between the books, I'll pick Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azakaban, i don't know why but it had captured my heart more than the others, in the film series, i believe that the first one is the best, maybe because it was my first time to see Diagon Alley or to see a person as big as Hagrid or to see owls bringing mails or to see people plunging in track 3 1/4 and so many others.
Anyway, I believe that Harry Potter will be classic, books and films both.

I personally liked the book more than the movies. Also because I had read the books before seeing the movies. And also everything is so nicely explained in the books while in the movies everythings can not be covered in 1-2 hours. It is too difficult. Among the movies I liked the first one "The Sorcerer's stone" the best.

I enjoyed reading the book series compared to the movie. However, when i got to watch the movies as well, i can say i can appreciate the movie more and understand what's with all those scenes and series of events. I can say that, since I read the book first, before watching the movie...the book is more detailed, of course. I enjoyed both. =)

My favorite book has always been the Half Blood Prince so I was extremely excited about this year's movie. But I was a little disappointed with the film, probably because my expectations were so high. It's not because it didn't stay true to the book, in a way it probably did too much. I found myself getting bored with many scenes, a friend of mine even fell asleep. Up till now my favorite film has to be Prisoner of Azkaban. From what I have read around the forums, I think there is a split in the fandom, either you really love it or you hate it. I really like what the director did with it. There is an artistic value in the film, while still staying true to the tone of the book. I never get bored rewatching Azkaban.
