I generally run for 4 hours or so, i have to shut my laptop and let it cool, running laptops for long durations is not advisable, so how long do you run your laptop at a stretch ?

I do use my laptop for sometime like more than 4- 5 hours, and about shutting it down, it sometimes can be 3 to 4 days even.. Altough i do try to shut it down before going to sleep at night, but usually i do forget.., i don't feel its so so much harmful... Yep the system gets a bit slower , but that's it.., and i get reminded that i hadn't shut it down for a few days...

well i generally read on my laptop and check the mails on my mini laptop. its a 10" inch laptop which is specially taken for the purpose of PDF reading and checking mails and all. and so i generally dont use it for more than 3 to 4 hours at a stretch. but yes it has a battery life of more than 6 to 7 hours so i guess i can keep it on for that long but then i never kept it on that long. i prefer not to heat it too much.

Hey,
I go on my computer for about 5 hours per day, but other than that I always shut down my computer during the night time. It isn't advisable to have a computer running the whole entire night. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!
