Personalizing for your mood

There is no more powerful way to create a mood than with music and light. How can we easily create appealing environments based on our particular mood?

This is exactly something I've been working on in my personal music collection. Organizing it according to the way the songs feel. There's nothing worse than when you want to listen to something upbeat and happy and the next song that comes up is slow and depressing. I found a program that would allow you to categorize your songs according to their mood, but it constantly freezes, I haven't found anything worthwhile.
