How to raise children?

How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learn how to raise children who can help bring about a better society. In some big city of China, parent send their children to kinds of auxiliary class such as piano class,paint class and so on. But do children really need to learn so much things? My opinion is that home education is pretty cardinal, parent should teach the children what is right what is wrong what should do what not exactly they do also follow these.Because parent are the first and most important teacher of children the whole life, what the children learn from their parent will influence their whole life also. Do you think so? Or what's your opinion on how to raise children.
