Who is the cook in your house?

Who is the cook in your house? Is it you, your partner, or somebody else? I am the main cook in our house as my partner works a 9-5 job and i am home with the baby so i have more time to do thing, plus i am a better cook :) I do let my partner cook now and then and he especially likes to learn recipes of things that i make from scratch. I think ive taught him pretty well. Would let him loose in the kitchen everyday though.

I'm still single so my mother is always in charge in cooking. I'm not better cook or my siblings are also depend on my mother. My mother known many dishes and she cooks better than anyone of us in our house. I know how to cook but I'm not a better cook I know that someday I need to learn how to cook better.

I am the cook in my house. My husband can not cook but as long as there is peanutbutter and jelly and bread he will not starve. That is what he eats if I am gone and not home to cook anything.

I do the cooking in our house most of the time if not all the time. Since I'm the only girl in the house, I think they expect me also to do the cooking. Anyways, even if it turns to be like that, I love doing it. I love cooking so much. And I proudly say that I am a good good, really good. I remember when my dad told me one time that I do better in cooking than my mom. That's a great compliment though he shouldn't suppose to compare me from my wonderful mom. Well, mam can't cook because she's working. So, I'm the one who's doing the cooking always but I'm enjoying what I'm doing. Sometimes, I teach my brother to do the cooking but I think the time spent in teaching him didn't pay off that much as he's not putting much interest on it. Well, wish you more in your cooking! Happy Mylotting!

hi polo! ohh i love cooking! i'm fond of collecting new recipes from the net and try it at home. i usually stay long hours in cooking on my off days and during weekdays the first place to go when i'm home is our kitchen. my husband is also a good cook but he is too lazy doing so.

we both are. my husband and i both have day jobs and so whoever reaches home first will prepare dinner but i come home before him most often than not. i am lucky though that my husband is a good cook and that he doesn't mind to do the chore himself when he has the time.

Thats really nice of him to share the workload with you, i bet the few times that he does make it home before you and gets dinner ready that its a nice suprise.

My mom is the cook in the house. Well, she does all the chore mainly and I try my best to help around but normally when I'm at home, she will tend to do all that. She doesn't like to lay around lazily and she cannot see dirty clothes and etc. My mom would cook once per day and normally, it's for dinner..

Things are a bit unique in my house. I am really good at seasoning things, especially meats, but I have a hard time cooking them sometimes without burning them. My wife is exactly the opposite. She can cook anything she wants most of the time, but she is not really good at seasoning stuff. So, I will usually do the seasoning and marinading, and she will do most of the cooking, so it works out well. We don't really do a whole lot of cooking here though. I work a lot of evenings, and my wife works mornings, so she usually goes to her dad's on the nights I am working. She has to go over there to take care of him and do things for him sometimes anyway, so she usually just eats over there. I work in a restaurant, so I will either just grab something at work if I am hungry, or I will come home and eat a sandwich of some sort. I do like to cook when I get the chance though.

My wife or her sister does most of the cooking here, we're in Mexico and I'm an excellent cook but they don't all like gringo food! LOL! I do cook on week ends a lot there are certain meals that they love me to cook. There are 9 of us all together so I try to make big meals. One of their favs is my meat loaf ( I make two big ones) and Mashed potatoes with corn, peas, and biscuits! tdemex

yes I am the main cook in my house. my hubby has 8 to 8pm working hrs hence he does not step into the kitchen but he is kind enough to help me in his free time. I am very interested in trying new cuisines and my partner helps me on sundays.

I'm the cook in our house because I too am a stay-at-home mother. My husband is a great cook, but with his work hours it would be impossible to depend on him to cook dinner because who would know when we would eat. He is only in charge of fixing breakfast burritos and German food when we eat them because those are his specialities.

hi polo princess, i am the chief cook in the house and i used to call myself the house chef. i am fond of cooking and experimenting new dishes out of the left- overs. my family really enjoyed eating the food that i prepared. their smiles while eating gives me more energy and inspiration to cook and cook and cook for them especially during the weekends. in all the dishes that i prepare chili... spicy... hot... is my signature. i always put my heart in every dish i prepare and cook and that made it more yummy. cheers!!!

In my home it's me because there is no-one else I enjoy cooking and often I cook for four and then either invite my son and daughter-in-law round or I take them half of what I have prepared. Just becuase I am alone here does not mean I don't cook - I probably cook way too much really

I am the cook in the house. My husband is hopeless when it comes to cooking. He cant even poach the egg right! Haha. No matter what happens, I will cook. Otherwise, he will go out and buy something home.

Well my mother-in-law is the main cook in our family . She is babysitting two babies during the daytime . After we come back to work to take care of babies she will begin to cook . When she comes out my husband and i will share the cooking with our small baby looking at us and playing around us.

I stay alone and I don't cook. One, it is easier to buy from outside. One meal costs me RM4.00. If I try to cook, it costs me RM7 and time - to buy, store, cook and clean. Two, I don't know how to cook. I burn food, even eggs.

You should try and learn some basic recipes, sure it may cost you a little more but once you get into things i bet you will get some enjoyment out of it and i bet it will be healthier for you too. What have you got to lose? :)

Normally, my wife is the cook in our house, but if I have time, I always help her in the kitchen, and share other house works.
