driving is scary as long as you think it's scary. i think driving is an art, you get more tips and tricks while you practice, you should try it at least i think it is worth giving a try, it is not so difficult, but you have to have confidence in you and you will drive like a pro.

the best thing to do is try to stay calm, and drive in the right lane. also if you dont feel comfortable keeping up with the rest of the cars, which i know most of the time everyone else speeds. but just do the speed mimit and let them pass u up.

It sounds like you just need experience. Have someone teach you how to drive while they drive. Then let them move you to a parking lot to get used to the controls. Once you get behind the wheel, things will start to slow down for you. I think you will be a fine driver, you just need to practice.

I was a little nervous when I started driving. The more time I've spent driving the more comfortable I've become. The key is to not become too comfortable because accidents hurt!

Do baby steps. Try driving around your neighborhood by yourself, then expand to other neighborhoods, then try driving to your favorite stores/ restaraunts, and in no time you will be comfortable driving! Remember, there's no rush. You can take as much time as you need to assure you are comfortable. Good luck!!

I have never actually gotten my driver's license. I think that I must be like you and scared to drive. Today's roads are so crazy. I would like to one day. I think that the person who suggested baby steps has the right idead. Take it easy and at your own pace!

There is nothing wrong with being a little bit nervous, as defensive drivers typically seem to have better driving records than those that are completely oblivious to the dangers that are surrounding them. So, you are starting off on the right track. First of all, I would learn to drive in a village or in the country where it isn't too congested. Congested areas can be extremely difficult to maneuver in, especially if you are just learning to drive. If everywhere is crowded, then have someone take you at a time that isn't so busy. Early Saturday or especially Sunday mornings, seem to have a lot less traffic than weekdays in our neighborhood. Good luck to you, and remember, it's the other driver that you have to watch out for!

Hello there, that is a normal feeling, but you have to get rid off it,or else you will never learn how to drive. When i first started my driving lesson i also felt that way,i feel like all the speeding cars will hit me or those cars will crash on me. But later on i was get used to it,just driving needs a lot os attention, and more attentive, like our eyes, ears are all very smart when we are on the road. Enjoy driving friend, relax, fasten your seatbelt and take care always
