If you are not engaging yourself in this series, it's about time you start. I think what is so magnificent about this series, is that you are watching a film that is prominently about youngsters growing up, and that is what you are getting to see the actors do right in front of your very eyes. Not only that, but the series as a whole is growing up and increasingly maturing. I think you saw that with the books, too, Harry and the story became darker, and more mature as the books evolved. This series should go down in history as one of the best and most epic series ever. The movies are definitely doing the books justice (or so from what I've heard...).
"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" is one epic long and captivating spectacle. The new director definitely should be praised for his work here-he has just created one of the best visual spectacles I have ever seen. HP 6 shows some serious artistry and beauty. The director also added a crucial element to a film like this, emotion. In all of the other Harry Potter films, they were visually dazzling and took me to a different place, but never did I feel captivated or intrigued. For people who never read the books, the other movies were cute, but never touched or moved you. This film is different, and has a serious emotional, darker aspect that was never before seen in the other films. Although it helps if you've read the books, you can still follow and love this film, due to the humanity side of it. First off, I'm sure people knows a crucial character dies in this film, and you see sides of characters you've never seen before. It's not just magic and wands, but a human, emotional side to it, that ranges from courage, love, to evil. A huge portion of that is thanks to the actors who have grown tremendously over the years. Daniel Radcliff has gone from a cheesy, scrawny little actor to a stud who performs with deep sincerity and emotion. Rupert Grint, who plays Ron,has found his humorous side. And Emma Watson gives a nice, sweet performance as Hermoine Granger. The new director was sure to add in lots of humor in this new HP film,so be prepared to laugh hard at times.

I saw the movie. I was not that impressed with it. I actually fell asleep at one point. But I am willing to watch it again to see the parts I missed. There were a lot of things in this movie that left me with questions. I am going to go back and watch the other movies to see if I can answer some of my questions and fit the pieces to the story together.
