are olympics a waste of money???????????

Olympics is a big global sport meeting. the idea is about peace. it connects the world as a big family. For now we have many world problems, war, poverty etc. Olympics is a good way to connect people around the corner. so in this sense i think we should not only judge the activity from the economical standard. However if the games can promote the world economy it would be better. in fact in some countries and in some particular period Olympics did help the local economy as well as regional economy. i think the london 2012 Olympics will help british economy and will make profits.
