Paula Abdul left Idol!

Aghhh...the agony of not having a copy-paste privelege lol. I will quote some words from an article I read in EW.com. So finally Paula confirms that she will leave Idol after eight seasons being the judge on the series. I will miss her, although sometimes she's like on a crack and completely miss the point in reviewing the performance, it's the way she crank me up during the judging that I will be missed. Her words seems to be out of nowhere and like to overreact when judging the performance. I will miss her dance during contestant performance also...I actually expect they will kick Kara out cause I feel last season Paula was more correct than her, also I don't like the way she talks, it looks fake and pretentious. Anyway, how do you feel about the news? Miss Abdul already? Or you think Kara is better than her?

I'm going to miss Paula very much too. Even though she's quite lagging in her comments lately to the contestants.
She was like a deep spirit and her words of encouragement to the contestants are really cool. She's a very great mentor and a 'rock' to amateurs in Idol..
I don't quite see much emotions in Kara yet, perhaps she's still new. Have yet to see in coming seasons.

I though she did better in last season, I found she give the right input to the contestants rather than season 7 where she thought Castro sang two songs when giving comments..that moment is really awkward lol..Yeah I hope Kara getting better this season, I don't mind she's giving bikini action again though lol

Hahaha..indeed it's very awkward at the time, and even cause media stir and speculation of what happened actually. I just think at the time Paula maybe drunk or something lol. Yeah, the Biking Girl thing is one of the funniest moment of the finale. I do think that's the best finale ever. Usually the finale turns blah, but everyone are on top of the game that night, though how Adam lost the crown still bugs me until now:)

I don't watch American Idol, but I have heard the news that she is leaving and it really seems like a publicity stunt to me. I am thinking that she will end up returning.

This news is serious. It is confirmed that the temporary guest judge fill her spot for audition stage are Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Katy Perry, and Shania Twain. In the mean time they also looking for regular judge which may be snatched from either one of the guest judge or a competent singer who can give good critics. I just hope they found someone who's funny and quirky as Paula but give more precise critics like Simon

I just heard this on the Early Show this morning. I have mixed feelings about it. It seems that Paula Abdul thinks that she is a much more important part of the show than she actually is. Once Cara decided to stay on, Paula decided to leave..that is once she didn't get the pay hike she wanted.
I will miss her a little, but I am sure I will get over it.

Yes, I also heard the rumor that she wants an increase in her salary, but the producer only wants to pay half of what she wants. Well, it's maybe a regular thing in the industry, especially since Idol is still the highest rating TV show until now, to pay such a big amount of salary to the judges cause after all, it's them that makes this show more interesting right. I'm still looking for Paula to make a comeback to Idol stage though, maybe in next season where I believe Idol rating will decline and the show may lost some of its magic due to Paula's departure...Thanks for the resposnse!

Yeah, sometimes she found difficulties to find the exact words she want to say, sometimes she use the poetic terms that made us goes huh? Sometimes she also can be profound and spot on. Thanks for the response

Yes! i have seen it on her official Twitter page as well. Although it was a bit sad that Paula had to go given that she was there right from the very beginning. But I wouldn't take anything away from Kara as well, given that she did a magnificent job during her stint. She will be missed on the show..

Wow! So it is confirmed! Paula brought some humor to the show and her crazy personality. I personally think they should have gotten rid of Kara!

Yeah yeah I agree with you. Actually I think they should get rid of Randy imo, he's not bringing anything to the table, and he's just like dawg dawg, wat's up all the time without saying much about the singer..Kara is sometimes giving a reasonable input although sometimes she's too over the top and annoying (remember when she said to Gokey during Hero performance "You Can Move Mountain:! I was like ha? lol)..What I am curious is whether they back to old format with 3 judges or finding a new one to fill Paula's spot..Thanks for the response!
