Have you ever tried loving your enemy?

I know it's a hard thing to do but nevertheless,I really believe it's one of the best ways to to make them feel sorry for what they've done. I tried forgiving and helping a classmate who cursed me everytime, resisting the urge for revenge. It was such a challenge I find myself cringing everytime I talk to her, but I think I changed her attitude towards me gradually just by being nice to her. What about your experience? Are you ready to try this?

As a Christian, I have already experienced loving my enemy. She was my former enemy -- my elder sister. I said this because when I was just a kid until my teenage years, she always quarreled with me till I got angry with her. During that time, I have been longing for the day that someday we would be at peace with each other. And it happened when I have accepted Christ Jesus in my life as my Lord and Savior. The first thing that Jesus had told me was to forgive my sister and reconcile with her right away. At first I was hesitant but I wanted to follow the Lord so I obeyed Him. I gave a gift to my sister together with a letter full of forgiveness and God's word on it. She thanked me and I felt an overflowing joy in my heart after doing it. From that day onwards, our relationship as brother and sister became closer...

wow glad to hear that! I used to quarrel with my younger sis too til sometimes i really wish she's not my sis. To forgive her is already so hard, what more trying to love her. We all need God's grace to love.
