What will you do when you are old????

a very nice question. everyone of us will get old, well of course, not if we die at a young age. but what if we went old as 80 years and above? i hope i saved enough for my retirement..and i hope I won't live in a home for the aged....I wonder what would my children do to me, will they take time to care for me?.......it's scary to grow old....I too can't think of what will I be doing when I get old.

I like to be the same young person till my last days.I will not bore anyone with my oldtime stories.I wil remain a persin whose company is always welcome in any occasion.Most oldies commit the same mistake of telling the young that their olden times a re always better the present times which make those young ones flinch at you.And the most important thng is that I will have loads of money to take care of my old age.

Boys who love their grandfathers will also have the blessing of longevity. Thank God your grandfather still tends his garden. Old people don't usually sleep much. They would like to nourish the world still while they can. When I am as old as your grandfather, I would still probably e tending the garden, too, aside from cooking the meals for my family and washing the laundry. On my spare time, I would still be writing...

I know it is terrific to think you are getting old that too at 82 years I hope I remain healthy to some extent, and not become a nuisance - as generally that is what is termed for old people, actually as you start growing older many childhood behavior develops in you and you are termed troublesome. I hope I am a good grandparent as you have mentioned, I would be a good support to my family and help them in all possible ways my health permits me to.

once i turned 60 (if i will still reach that age...), will be home spending more time with my family particularly my husband, keeping myself busy with "selected" chores...of course preparing/cooking for my family, gardening and crocheting. maybe...managing ang home-based business!

i will be spending time on playing with my grand children.i wanted to to be like my grandfather who does the same thing and advices me about some morals of life.

Well I pray like most women in my family I will be healthy and moving around until its time for my enternal rest. I would love to be by my husbands side taking care of him while he takes care of me. I would like to stay in my home with maybe some hired help to aid me I don't want to be put in a home, I would like to be as close as I can to my family and church... hopefully I can take as many vacations as I please and enjoy the rest of my life in peace

Hey, Well I don't really know what I will be doing when I am old. I just wish I would have a good home to live in. Also I don't really want to have to live in a nursing home, unless I really need it. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hello Dct. How wonderful to love your grandfather so much. I am glad that he takes such an interest in people and life. When I am old, I hope to be able to travel, to spend time still enjoying my family and the things I love, such as gardening, writing, reading. And always, music. I hope to be financially able to help others or to have done something to make a positive difference in our world. :) Great discussion! Karen

Well.I never consider this problem brefore.Cause i think i am younger now.But let me guess when i am become old what i am gotta to do? It's an interesting question I think i will do as usual i will take care of everybody i seen cause old people alawys more kind.I will have an own graden cause then i have something to do.I will play with my grandchildren I think it will a wonderful thing.

Well when I got old and feels like my time is near,I will spend me evry day with the people that I love.Maybe ask them if we could have a little family get together so I could remember all of their faces because I'm afraid that one day would come that when I am old I'd be able to forget and not know how they look like..old people mostly have memory lost..I'd make sure that I'll be able to thank them for being part of my family and for loving and taking care of me.That for me is one sure thing I would do when I get old. i want to live in the mountains with gardens all over my house..i want to sit in my rocking chair while watching my husband playing with his grandson.were i can feel comfortable and at peace with my better half.i want to wake up in the morning were the air is fresh and the surroundings are very beautiful.watching the sunset rise while holding my husbands hands,knowing that im very lucky to have my partner that we grow old together.till our last breath we stay as one..and when the time were both of us are gone..our siblings will follow and do the same that love must stay forever even when were old......

Once im old enough to have earned enough to support the rest of my life - i guess i ll continue playing video games, on whatever systems they will have invented by then. Gaming has been my passion for as long as I can remember - and hopefully will be my passion, once im all grown up and stuff.

I will try to enoy life as much as i can. Live, Laugh,Love And try to do everything I want to do in Life, Travel Enjoy Grad-children.

I would also like to know what I will do and can do when I am old. It is still a long way. I do not want to speculate. It is like making a resolution and knowing very well the resolution will not be met.

I think when I get older, I will try to spend time with young people in order to help them get more out of life than what I got. I would like to spend a lot of time doing volunteer work and just relaxing. I am glad your grandfather is in good health. I can understand the feeling of being afraid of not waking up tomorrow. Sometimes, I have trouble sleeping because I have trouble feeling like I am getting enough air so I don't sleep well. When I finally relax, I can sleep. Take care of yourself.

Hopefully I will be in my right mind and relatively healthy. If so, I will be happy with that! Catch up on my reading maybe!!?? When people I know ask me that question I always smile and say "Anything I darned well please"!!!! :-) Hopefully that will be true. I was very close to my grandmother who lived to be 92 and was healthy and smart right up the the last few months!I wish those years and beyond for your grandfather!

I'm glad you have such a great grandfather whom you love and respect. I'm sure he appreciates that very much. I am almost 60 years old and my father is 94 years old. My father was an orphan at a young age so I never knew my grandfather or grandmother at all. I'm looking forward to meeting them in Paradise. Tough 60 years old I feel young and want to do so much. If our body and mind are healthy then we never feel old, at least so far anyway. So I will continue to live each day joyfully, knowing that whatever happens we have everlasting life ahead.
