Do you trust any politician?

Politics is the last refuge of a scoundrel. And it is true. I have been voting since 1989 and now, more than 20 years later, I feel that no Politician however, true his words may seem before election., once election is over, he will forget everything conveniently and is in his own world. As they say "power corrupts; and absolute power corrupts absolutely"!!!

I hate politics and I hate politicians. Who ever become politician is must to become a corrupt person becoz this field wants such people only. people here say that a good person never stands in elections as if he does so the boss/gang people warn him to step back from the elections and they have to obey otherwise it would be bad for him and his family too. even in my area, people with power and money stands while the good people cant.

Well I stopped voting because any politician I vote is going to take the country down. I think there should be dictatorship in India so that the conditions will improve.

ya there are many politicians on which you can trust like manmohanji, sonia gandhi, abhishek singhavi, rahul gandhi, there are many in bjp, bsp n sp too. see actually all the politicians are not bad some are really working for the people of this country but, they are not around you and the politicans around are not good that is why you think that all the politicians are bad. if u want development then it can not be achieved suddenly, it will take some time, nobody thinks that how much time did america take to fully developed, it took 200 years because their democracy is 200 years old and now look at india, our democracy is only 50 years old. now you can estimate how much fast india is growing and i think india will not take 200 years to fully developed.

we are as the people cannot doing anything. because people in the white house is the decition making for the country. all we do is trust them. If they just promise and promise and not doind anything. This can make us to not choose them anymore in next election.

Its a very nice discussion. the only way that a citizen of India could show his likes or dislikes about the politicians is by voting.! So use your vote in a effective manner. do not accept, if anyone give money or any gifts asking to vote for them. do not vote for one who had been proved to be linked in any offense. do not sit in your home without voting, this is a chance you give a candidate to win, who doesn't deserve. if we do such things, the politicians would think about this and try to change. the process of making a country better, starts from the citizens...
