I have been unemployed for over a year now. I am still looking for a job and go from place to place and send out my Resumes but still nothing.
Sometimes I feel completely hopeless and as a total failure. Only thing that keeps me going is the support I get from my BF.
How would you cope with that?

I truly feel your situation..
Jobs are really scarce nowadays. Just don't give up and keep looking. Are there job agent services in your region. Perhaps you can look for those that are well known for helping candidates efficiently as possible..

I have contacted lots of them actually, in my own town and surrounding bigger cities also. I guess there are not very many jobs available at the moment but I still keep looking.

I went almost 2 years and now make about a third of what I did before. You don't have a choice. You just keep applying for jobs and go with the flow.
You can try and improve your education but that costs money and takes time away from your job hunt.

I was thinking about going to school again full time but it has been so long time since I was in college and i'm not sure what to study either.

it is a tough season to be unemployed. it seems like the economy is bleeding jobs and there are just none to be had. i really feel for you because i have heard of so many that are in the same boat as you (including my hubby) he will be finished work as of August 14th (but still has a part time job even after that). but hang in there my friend, it just takes perserverance.

I have been in this situation more than a year and it's really getting to me. I haven't given up yet but I don't have much hope either. I turned to look for alternative ways of earning money, hope that works out for me.

You're definitely in a tough situation right now. Unfortunately you're not alone. I know quite a few people in your shoes. The best you can do is just keep looking and TRY to stay positive. I myself am currently unemployed. I unfortunately had to quit my job because my husband and I relocated to a new state for his new position. So I've only been looking for a job for a week - but I can see how this is going to turn difficult. Hang in there! The economy HAS to get better........it can't get much worse, can it?

It can always go worse but I guess the point is how you handle it. I keep trying and looking for alternatives also. So I hope it will be ok. I hope you will get a job soon also, it's not good to be unemployed.
