Normally, I like to watch television, and two particular animated series are ones that i really enjoy. These shows are equally in my opinion, each with their own strength and weaknesses.
For South Park, I like the fact that you actually know where the series takes place, which is in a small town called South Park, located in the state of Colorado. The shows plots are usually unexpected, and always fresh. The happenings of the show are usually based on recent events, like on the news. The characters are predictable, yet unpredictable at the same time, like Cartman. You know he is going to be very selfish, greedy, narrow minded person in most episodes, but he portrays a selfish, greedy, narrow minded person in a way that you don't expect. But the animation could be better. I understand the fact that it is supposed to mimic when it was first created using construction paper, but after thirteen or so years, the method appears very primitive, but at least it has gotten smoother. Sometimes, the mature content seems a bit too mature, and gorey, for example, the episode where Chef dies a very gruesome death.
For The Simpsons, I like the fact that you don't know where the series takes place exactly, we just know that it takes place in a city called springfield that is in america, and it offers some mystique because it offers the oppurtunity for some jokes at which state it takes place in.

I like South Park more in general because at least the writers actually make it smart on some episodes like the wheel of fortune episode. I haven't watched the simpsons in a while, probably because there isn't any new Family Guy or King of The Hill episodes before it.
