have you ever had a point where you were so depressed that someone labelled you as an emo, when you don't consider yourself one? personally I think that the term emo has been turned into something its not. emos aren't the stereotypical wrist-cutters who cry and complain a lot. depression is just a phase that people go through, and if this phase lasts for the majority of your life, then well, its like that. doesn't mean you are an emo.
BTW yes, I do consider myself an emo, but not because I want to slice open a carpal tunnel. I'll save the real definition of emo for another discussion.

I have heard this word emo. but I didn't know what it ment till my daughter which is 13 told me someone was calling her emo.
I asked her what it ment she told me it is some one who once to kill there self or someone who cuts there self or is Gothic.
Because my daughter has jet black hair. I don't see how it can be associated with deppression if that is the true meaning of emo.
Deppression is a disease that sometimes is not cure able. I take medication for depression and Borderline Personality disorder.
I used to be a cutter when I was younger. I have been down that road and don't want to go back.

I have been hearing the expression *emo tears* for sometime and I still do not get it at all. I am not sure what it exactly mean other than emotional tears, so I am lost as to why people overuse the emo term all the time at the drop of a hat, I seen it applied to people that do not look emo at all in my opinion, I have a vague idea of what might be, so this laughing, gigling girl can not be emo, can she? just wondering.
