There are a lot of people who use online banking and buy products online. I am one who does. When using these services, I always feel like my financial information is secure and that it will not be shared with other parties when it is not necessary. How do you feel about this? Do you use online banking/e-commerce and if so, how secure do you think your accounts are?

Sometimes I am a bit wary of doing these activities online, and I know of people who simply refuse to because they just don't want to take any chances at all.
However, I still check my accounts online and purchase things on the internet. I try to use the simple tips, like look for the s at the end of the https: to ensure that the site is secure. I also look for the little padlock at the bottom of the page, and sometimes for words on the screen like Verisign, Secure, etc.

I use the internet to transfer money and shop too. I think its pretty secure. If they ask for important information they probably have it secure. Besides, my credit card and bank accounts have protection against security thief.

I generally feel like my money is safer when I shop online than it is when I shop at a store. I've heard of incidents in department stores where a person's account number and credit card information was gathered in the store. Online, this information is guarded much more safely. The only thing to by wary of is spyware and security-compromising viruses. No matter how you choose to spend your money or use your credit card, the key to financial security is discretion.
