Would you like to get rubbed to feel better?
Do you just leave the pain there and wait for it to go away?
I have been having a sore back issue, husband got me a massage thingy last winter and it helps some, it is still not as nice as a hang rubbing though. If my husbna dis home, I liek to lean on him and like a cat then he will pet me and rub me hehehe ^_^ When he is not home, I just use the chair, sometimes I even move against the corner of the wall, I could hear my bone crunches by doing that!
What about you?

Well I would firstly suggest getting it checked out by your doctor especially if you have had it a while as back problems can turn serious. I have had back problems for over 3 years now caused by degeneration of the spine and have had to go through a very painful operation to fuse part of my spine together. Unfortunately in my case the surgery didn't work and so can sympathise with anyone who has back pain as it can be unbearable. The one thing I recommend not doing is dosing up on pain killers as all this does is mask the pain and you can end up doing more damage without realising it.

I've been getting a massage once a month which helps - i get regular back pain ever since i had a horse flip over backwards on me 12 years ago. Other than the massage I'll take some tylenol on occasion or get my heat pad and lay on it for a while. It feels pretty good

Hi mermaidivy, I had terrible pain for several years due to disc deterioration in my spine and I tried everything to sort it, and I mean everything. Then I was lucky enough to meet a doctor who taught me proper exercises to strengthen the muscles in my neck and spine, I do them for an hour every morning and it has worked. You should already be thinking of something to keep your spine strong. Ensure that if you don't drink lots of milk that you take calcium tablets and always walk with good posture, all the time you should walk and sit with chest out, stomach in, and neck aligned. If you are having back pain now you're likey to have more serious problems when you are older. Heat on it works when you're on the computer. Hope it feels better soon.

I too love massages with my husbands hands. I do the same thing and turn into a feline! But I also use a product called AIO for 49.95. It works from the inside out and its also a anti aging and anti inflammatory as well. Let me know if you want to try it, its 32 ounces and you take 1 ounce a day or 2 if you need.

I just got a back pain by trying to use a laptop in bed. Duhh, if I can just stretch the line of the cable and the charger, it would have been better. But I will just have to be back to normal once our desktop is done.
I would just ask hubby to massage my back since I always do get a massage from him because I do have a difficult time arching my back when I do the laundry. Well, all home makers need a good massage from their hubby.
Likewise, hubby asks for a massage too after work. So we do give each other a good back rub massage. I know some Good reflexology massage and some shiatsu massage. That's what I give him, but if he wants harder , i do some Thai massage. Happy Mylotting.

Oh you know different types of massage? That's nice!
I can rub my husband but just regular rub, first it is because his back is wo wide and big, second I feel tired quick to keep pressing, rubbing so I like to have him rub me better :-p

i feel sorry for you. my husband has a similar situation. When he has sore muscle or back pain he usually take tablets.i can't remember the name of the tablets, but as he said it works. so if you really want to know i can ask him when he's back home.
personally if your sore is serious you better take rest. I mean keep still. It takes time to recover. Before i had sore neck and i did a lot massages. But it made my situation worse. Then i came to see doctor and i got the answer was not do massage and take rest. I did as the doctor said. In half month i got better.
happy mylotting.

Yes I do have back pain sometimes, all I do is to make my husband or children rub with a pain balm, sometimes lying straight on your back is a good relief. Placing hot water bags are also very relieving for back pain.

I am sore today from a little over-exursion from yesterday. I would like to have one of those massage tools to rub on my back, and the backs of my legs. Even my forearms are sore today. I didn't want to get out of bed. I feel like I could still go in and lay down for the rest of the day. I am extremely tired, and not too motivated. Too bad I don't have a laptop, then I could work online while I was laying in bed. LOL Now, I'm just sounding plum lazy I guess. HaHa!

My wife also has that back pain almost always and it would be sometimes annoying in the middle of my sleep waking me up just to push lighter the ached portion of her back and put some menthol hot oil on it...I seldom have that, but when I have I would be very seldom I let my wife do the same as what she almost let me do it...because sometime I would just leave it alone, i never care by back pain seriously because I knew it would just be a matter of how the way you sleep at night....thanks my friend ..nice topic then..

Today, more and more people get troubles with their backs, shoulders and necks, for they sit in front of computers for too long, especially young people. Just like my wife, she always complain to about her neck and back pain. I also can hear her bone crunches when she do head movement. To be honest, this scared me at first time. So now, I acompany her to do execise everyday, to learn Chinese Kungfu--Taiji (nicknamed as "Chinese Yuga")! It works in deed, my wife fell much better now. Haha!!!
