We are sending our son to college ,and state Universities
are becoming so expensive and even community colleges.
I don't understand why public universities need to be so
expensive. I think that education should be more affordable
to college prospects. What do you guys think?

The colleges have to make money to keep themselves running and to pay their staff and whatnot. The government gives limited amounts of funding to each public college in a state. While I agree that college is expensive, when you account for how many students are going to college, say 12,000, and each of them are paying... say 12,000 USD a year, that adds up to like, what, $144,000,000? Those colleges aren't exactly making just a pocket-change profit.

Well, maybe the government needs to give more than limited
amounts of funding since education to me is a priority. The
problem is that salaries don't really go up ,but everything
else goes up in price. Thanks, I understand your point ,and
hopefully soon we might have a better solution. The same thing
happened to public schools when they eliminated daily physical
education classes to save money ,and now we have a generation
of overweight kids.
