Have you opened up the side of your cabinet to let your computer have a better cooling with more air flowing in freely? Beware of the humidity/moisture though, it affects the hard discs bad!

Hello friend.
I don't think there is much of a need to open the cabinet for better cooling. If you want to prevent the system from lots of heating problem, try to use some good quality coolants on the processor and an extra fan to be installed in the cabinet. This will be a lot better than the previous option.
But, I have opened my cabinet from long time, LOL. But it is not for cooling rather due to loose serial cable between motherboard and DVD writer and I have to tighten that up frequently.
Happy MyLotting.

there is no need to open up your cabinet to cool your system i agree, i was just seeing how many people do it, yeah you are right, good quality coolants and an extra fan will be great...well yeah sometimes it does get irritating when you open up the cabinet and some of the cables just spring out.

Ya i have kept open one side of my cabinet open as my system is On 24*7 and so for this reason its necessary that the system should get cool air or else there will be warnings. My CPU is just near the window and this keeps my CPU cool. the other option is to fit an additional fan which you get for a cheap amount depends on the availibility.

well my previous computer use to have a lot of heating problem when i use to keep the cabinet closed and so i decided to keep that whole cover open. it was like that for few years and nothing dramatic happened. its just that when you keep it open you have to make sure that you also clean it frequently. because if too much dust settles then heating problem will start again.
