For my son's 3rd birthday we bought him a Curious George outfit. He absolutely loves Curious George!! Since then he practically has not taken the shirt off! He was wearing it Monday. Tuesday I was in the hospital, so hubby was in charge, and don't you know he managed to forget to change the boy's clothes, so my son wore his Curious George shirt on Tuesday as well. Today I made sure his outfit was changed, but just a little while ago he went threw the dirty clothes pile, took out his Curious George shirt, and put it on over the clean shirt he was already wearing. Hubby and I just laughed at him! So far we have not forced him to take it off, although we should due to how dirty it is now. Oh well, we aren't going out anywhere. Does your child have a shirt or outfit that they love to wear, even if it's dirty?

Little Lisa - This is a photo of my little sister Lisa on her first day of school but photo wasn't taken till after church last night(August 5,2009) so it was like 10pm and she had fallen asleep at church and the car..
My little sister is still into the Dora Shows and into the movies and everything Dora..but we can't find any Dora clothes to fit her since she is big for a 8 year old..she wears 16/18 in clothes now..some even bigger depend on who makes them.

This is such a cute story. He must just love that shirt. My brain is mushy today so I cannot think of any stopries really. But the twins always like to choose their clothes - sometimes not appropriately like when the girl wants to wear her fairy outfit (complete with wings) to the supermarket. so I packed up her wings with us and off we went.

My daughter has certain favorite clothing that she would wear everyday if she could. It bugs me because what she likes the most I can't stand, but I try to let her enjoy her own style. She loves to stay in jeans but sometimes I would like to see her in cute girly outfits.

My daughter does not have a favorite outfit yet, she is just 14 months. My son on the other hand is giving me a hard time because he has a batman shirt that he always wears and it is so hard to take it off even to clean it. He even goes to sleep in it. I manage sometimes to wash it but not all the time. His father bought him other batman outfits but that didn't resolve the problem, he still like that one shirt but we can not find it anywhere. The store does not sell them anymore. Everytime I go on ebay I look for it, next time I will put an add on craigslist lol Take care.

My kids used to do that and at first I remember thinking and worrying what everyone else would think. My daughter liked her barbie nightgown. My older son had a favorite dinosaur shirt and my youngest liked his sponge bob pajamas. I would just let the kids wear what they wanted and wash it when I could get a hold of it, like when they were in the bath. It's usually a phase they go through and eventually they grow up. Sometimes it don't seem like it at the time but this will be one of the best memories of when they're little. I saved their favorite outfits and made little pillows out of them.

My granddaughter does the same thing....for her birthday I gave her this cute little outfit that has a halter top in a hot pink bandana pattern and the shorts are blue...with a matching tie to the top....well she loves the outfit..not only does she wear it dirty but she always wants the tie in the back.....so she has this cute little outfit but a big knot hanging out the back...I don't understand why she doesn't want it in the front! LOL

Not that I've ever noticed. In my house I wish they would wear their clothes longer than they do because my youngest will change 6 times a day or be naked all day there's no happy medium.

Not yet, but I see it coming. I can`t seem to recall if I had that problem or not. We have to hide his yellow rubber boots though, or he would wear them even if it was plus 40 out. Kids go through the stages, I would suggest taking it off after he falls asleep and tossing it in the wash, so that it is clean for morning. Cheers.

Yes my children had a liking for some of their favorite outfit when they were young (now they have grown up) My daughter would not allow me to change some of her favorite once we were back home after an outing. Even today they have a liking towards some of their particular outfit that they are ready to wear it every alternative day after a wash.

My two-year-old son most definitely does. Well, it is not one specific shirt, but if it is one of his Thomas shirts, it practically takes an act of congress for him to take it off. He is known to put the dirty shirt back on after he takes a bath because he is so attached to them. We went and bought him more Thomas shirts not too long ago so at least he would have a variety of things to wear. It is a stage and they will grow out of it, thank goodness.
