McCain was born on a military base in Panama. Actually I lived there too......but that was years and years later when my dad was stationed there. Beautiful place. But anyway.....sense he was born in a military hospital on a military post it is still considered being born in america sense it is american governemnt owned land. Therefore considered "american soil".So he has an american birth certiifcate and is still a "natural us citizen". Also BOTH of his parents are US citizens.

Yes john McCain was born in Panama, on a U.S military Base, which is considered American soil, and both of his parents were US citizens. Which makes him a American citizen. and when he was asked by the American people to show his Birth certificate, he showed it. He did not have anything to hide.

What are you getting at, nothing to hide? I think I know, but please elaborate.

He had nothing to hide so he showed his birth certificate. He did not try to run from the fact that he was born in panama, He went through the process of proving that he was a American citizen when he was asked to,

Show me anywhere in the US Constitution that says anything about where the candidate was born... hint.. it doens't. John McCain is eligible to run for president because he is a natural born citizen whose parents qualified under all applicable laws at the time he was born. I think Obama is also eligible, but the fact remains, McCain was required to prove his eligibility even though there was no legitimate question of it... on the other hand, Obama has refused to prove his eligibility, he has spent millions protecting his long form birth certificate from public scrutiny... there is also serious and legitimate questions about his eligibility. So, the real question is, if he isn't hiding his ineligiblity, what IS he hiding?

I have wondered that too. I mean this is be an easy one for Obama to put to rest. Simple supply the forms. That would stop the questions real fast because they would be answered. People would say oh ok.....questions answered lets me on. But instead Obama is dragging this thing out a lot longer than he has too. Why?

John McCain DID provide proof of his natural born citizenship status, unlike 0bama who is spending millions to keep all his records from ever seeing the light of day. John McCain was born on an American military base and BOTH of his parents were American Citizens which makes him a natural born citizen no matter where in the world he was born, but he WAS born on US occupied soil anyway.

Well if you look at his birth certificate, it says he was born in some hospital off of the base, and that city he was born in was not what the panamanians allowed us to use when they permittied us to use the land to build the canal, so If mccain was elected the birther issue would be the same only the far left would be pushing it.

That should be an issue to everyone who respects the US Constitution.

I do not think that it is the same thing, and he was born a American citizen, Both of his parents were American citizens. At least he did not run from any of the facts.

Both Obama and McCain have had produced a birth certificate. McCain's says he was born in panama but has two American parents, and Obama's says he was born in Hawaii but has a Kenyan father. This would have been an issue to the side that lost
