What's your take on this?
Personally, she's a lot of fun to watch on the show but she is a bit lacking when it comes to substance and the quality of feedback she gives to the contestants so I feel like it won't be a big loss. It's going to be different, but I think it might turn out for the better.

She was too king when it came to critique. If she didn't like the performance, then she shouldn't also give them a compliment or say something nice to not hurt their feelings. Contestants didn't always know what they did wrong because her reviews were too positive at times. She was entertaining with her dancing and excitement over good performances.

According to the News that i ever read , That Paula Abdul out from American Idol Judges, it because of the money, It is sad, but she will not return to Idol. She Want to be paid U.S $ 20 nillion in American Idol. If Salaries are not met, Paula did'nt back. She 'grudge' with the charge that prompted the American Idol Host, Ryan Seacrest. He Recently renewed contract with american idol. To host that evevnt race is for 3 years, he paid U.S $ 45 million

I don't know I've kind of fallen in love with Paula's idiosyncracies, she adds character to the show, I also think she helps contestants to feel comfortable...having a duppy person around you can help put you at ease...when things are perfect it can get abit boring and clinical. Anyway lets see what happens...I know she has been on alot of medication for a while and this could explain some of her deleriousness, there was an interview about it. Anyway if she goes, bless her soul, I'll miss her canine cute face. I think they're going to have guest artists come in every week. Britney's coming....oh no! LOL.

Posh spice.....another Brit.....(i think)!...mmmm....is she going to be a guest or a permanent fixture? I thought she had refused not having the time and all.

I don't really think that she will be missed all that much. I guess there was a poll and 47% said they will miss Paula. She really didn't give much advice, so why should she get the big raise she wants!

I agree about the advice part but she's so kooky on the show that it would be weird to watch it without her doing all the silly things she does. That however would not justify a raise. Maybe she just got jealous over Seacrest's.

I don't know....sure she's abit duppy....but she does puts in alot of heart, emotions and tears, and does try very hard not to hurt anybodies feelings, all of which can be very taxing and exhausting as she thinks/feels before she speaks, she tries hard, and so one could say that she puts in more energy that Seacrest, albeit in a different way..???!! Though Paula Abdul might be too nice as a judge when comes to critique, I love watching her as a person on American Idol. Its still sad to see her leaves the Idol family because after watching her for 8 seasons, the devotion of seeing her among the panel of judges has been with me and it will seems like as if someone is leaving a family or a group of peers that he/she has been with for quite a long time.
Well, hopefully Paula Abdul will be back someday on American Idol as a judge or maybe as a guest judge.

I'm going to miss Paula :( Sure, she's a bit of a space case and her comments aren't exactly the most constructive, but she is sweet and usually isn't as critical as the other judges. Besides, I love watching her and Simon together, they have so much chemistry! The exchange between them makes the show worth watching each week

I think Paula will be missed because of the whole dynamic between her and Simon that she brought to the show. I don't like the new girl and I don't even know who she is or what she has done. Paula wasn't wrong for demanding a raise, when it was released to the press that Ryan Secreast was being paid $45 mil for 3 years.

It all boils down to the money for me. I think she's just jealous that Ryan Seacrest and Simon Cowell are getting paid way more than her and she thinks she deserves more than what she's getting. But when you think about it, where would she be without American Idol really? I mean, before American Idol, she was gone from the scene for a long time. She should be glad American Idol gave her the break and she should have been thankful for whatever she was getting from the show. Also, I think the producers have put up with her meltdowns in the past and having her in the show was not exactly a walk in the clouds. So, for me, quitting Idol was a big career mistake for her.

I think American Idol will definitely be different without Paula Abdul, after seeing her with Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell all these seasons. Certainly she's been "entertaining". I think it's been interesting that the show added a fourth judge, Kara DioGuuardi, who is much better than Paula in every way . . . she seems to know what she's talking about, unlike Paula who just says a bunch of fluff that is not too constructive. This last season I thought Paula was in the shadow of Kara; I wasn't particulary interested in what Paula had to say anymore. I don't think it will be such a big loss either. But it may be for Paula . . .
