I have heard before, when buying shoes, do it in the afternoon, when buying pants and you don't want to try it on, just put on your neck, have the waist of the pants around your neck, if exactly the same size of your neck then it is right size for you. and so what are other tips on buying clothing do you observe. do you think it has helped you a lot. give your personal tips i have not listed. so i can learn something and follow them too.

I've heard both of these before. Personally, I need to try everything on, because even if the waist fits, the length has been wrong more times than not. I'm on the smaller side and almost all of my pants - at least the good trousers and stuff I have for work - have been hemmed a few inches so they work for me. The basis behind trying on shoes in the afternoon is that your legs and feet swell slightly overnight, because they are elevated while you are in bed. Once you walk around when you get up, the swelling goes down as your blood starts pumping harder than it does when you're at rest. You're also supposed to shave your legs at night for the same reason, or so I've heard anyways. You get a better fit - or a closer shave :) - once that overnight swelling has gone down.

Boy do I wish that my waist was the same size as my neck!! I don't think that is a good tip because there is no way it would work for everyone. I don't have any tips I use except for shop the clearance section first.

I think it would be easier to just take a tape measure and use it, but sometimes it is still best to try the clothes on to see how they hang and also whether the color looks as well on as off.

yes of course fitting inside the pants will sure definitely the best specially if we are not sure if the style of design of the pants is good for us. but in case you are just look in the department store on the pants with the same style that you have been using. i don't think it is necessary to fit in it just to see if you will look good on it. sometimes people are just in a hurry to wear it. and sometimes when it is just small store of clothes where they don't have any fitting room like the thrift shop usually they just do measure it against their waist and some people they just do the tip i mention. but i don't do them actually. i am a person that buys on places or stores where they have their fitting room.

The shoes thing could make sence. As for the pants, that is just dangerous. don't think your neck and hips are even the smae size on most people.

yeah it is important that our feet are comfortable with the shoes that we wear every day. so buying in the afternoon is the best time indeed.

My mother will not buy anything that is 100% cotton because she hates to iron. It has to be at least 50% polyester or more for her to be satisfied enough to buy it because then it won't come out of the dryer looking drabby in need of an iron. As for me, I don't mind ironing as long as it's not too many things so I do check the content of the material before I buy it.

i love cotton clothes as they absorb i believe sweat better as it is hot in my country except for wet season like now. but i have learned also that it is really hard to iron clothes made of cotton so i prefer to wear clothes not made from pure cotton as much as possible during wet season.

I am always confident of picking up clothes that I think I will fit. I sometimes just kinda put it on me and standing in front of the mirror and know I am going to look GOOD on it so I will just buy it straight. Sometimes I will put on the more expensive one just in case if I don't think it looks as good. I never trusted what comments the sales give me, they will jsut say how nice the thing is to make you purchase it without any doubts.

it is good that you know if a dress looks great on you or not. i am not good at it. i am actually try to develop my skills in judging what dress looks on me and what is not. it is more like a trial and error before. now i think i have learned now i can buy dress that i know will work for me.
