My Arm Hurts!!

My husband brought home a Wii Monday night... which of course I couldn't play until Tuesday evening due to being in pain and ending up getting a minor operation. We tried a couple of very low impact games Tuesday evening, just some golf and bowling on Wii sports. Then yesterday we tried Carnival Games and Dancing With The Stars. The whole family spent a few hours playing these games last night, and the kids and I have just spent a couple hours playing them today. My gosh is my right arm killing me!! I had to put the game away to give my arm some rest!! Do you have a Wii yet? What is your favorite game? Does it make your arm hurt the same way mine is hurting?

We have had a Wii for about 2 years now and no one really plays it. My kids use to play it often but, then we got the xbox360 and to be honest, I don't think the Wii has been turned on since then. I played the Zelda Twilight Princess game right after we got it and thats really the only games I've played on it so it must be my favorite The Zelda did make my arm hurt.

We're the opposite. We've had the xbox 360 for a long time.. I forget when we got it... but I absolutely hated it! There wasn't a single game made for that system that I could play. Hubby had a few he liked, and the kids... well they're easy to please, but none of us could wait until we got the Wii so we'd all have something to play together. There are dozens of games I want to get for the Wii, but we were always hard pressed to find games we wanted for Xbox 360.

Isn't it fun? My Daughter brought her's back and we play the karaoke and laugh until it hurts. It is such fun - especially to listen to the comments from Simon and gang. She also has the exercise programme but we haven't tried it out yet. It is such a good way to have family fun - and also good for exercising. My sons have played golf too and they said it was a great work out. Maybe I will try it - should try it for the exercise. enjoy!

I've counted a few dozen games I want to try out that look like so much fun. I'm so excited to have the Wii, I just wish my arm would allow me to play as much as I'd like!

We bought a wii and wii fit about 2 months ago. I love it! I wanted the wii fit so I could work out. I was a little sore the first time I used it, but I knew that it would happen so I took it easy. Right now we just have the basic games that come with it. We have been renting games at the video store. I'm glad we've been renting, because some that I would have bought right away are pretty stupid. I'd have to say the best one I've played so far is Raving Rabbits.

I have a Wii. I haven't hurt yet cause I haven't found too many games I like so far, I'm old school & I like arcade style. But bowling is ok so long as the lo's don't walk past while your arm is in motion.

My son has a wii, he saved up for it out of his pocket money! It hasn't been played much until recently but then my eldest bought a load of games for it and he also bought me the wii fit so I guess it will get some use out of it a bit more now! I am going to attempt the wii fit next week sometime when I get the chance, probably one morning while little woman is in school!

Nope we don't have a Wii and probably won't anytime soon until the prices come way down. My mom wanted to get my sister one because she loves video games and they are good for winter when it's to cold outside to play and it would be great exercise for her instead of just sitting on the floor with a controller only using her hands. So I am all for getting a Wii whenever I can..I am glad you found something to have fun with the family and can have hours of fun..too bad you didn't have that back a month or so ago..

We don't have a Wii, but my daughter brought theirs over on July 4th and left it with her son that had been staying with us this summer. We love bowling, so we bowled a couple nights in a row. It almost did me in! My arm was so sore, when we actually went bowling, I could hardly pick up the bowling ball! I think the Wii is 'harmuful to your health'. BUT isn't it fun! My husband was almost addicted enough to buy us one!

My favourite game is Harry Potter:The Half Blood Prince. My arm ends up really hurting because of the spells you need to cast. It's just where your using parts of your body that haven't been used in a while. It's like going to the gym for the first time in months. I do some stretches before I start playing just so it doesn't hurt as much the next day.

Yes I have a wii and I see you have played one of my favorite games. Carnival games is my favorite. I love the skee ball. Also you can win prizes like at a carnival and trade them up for medium and large. Well yeah I had that problem when I first got the wii. They had on the news about people having pains using it and especially the wii fit that you should stretch before using it. But as far as the arm I use stop when It starts hurting bad. because I already have the carpal tunnel from computer work that it just makes it worse. Good luck to you and just try to limit your time being on there I believe you could get Carpel tunnel from using wii or tendinitis if you are on it for hours at a time. Good luck to you it is fun to play. Happy my lotting to you

My arm always hurts when I play wii sports for extended periods of time, especially on the baseball mode. So rest assured there that you are not alone, or in any kind of physical danger. can't say the same thing about when I play Super Mario Galaxy. :)
