This is a good opportunity to have a long post :-P
Where are you from ? Country, city, some details about the place you live.
I am from Romania, Bucuresti (Bucharest) - which is the capital city of the country.
If you have the chance to travel here, there are several things to see and visit, except McDonalds an KFC :-P .
Among many others, here we have one of the most large building in Europe, the so called "house of the people", builded under comunism time with purpose to be the place from where the dictator to easyly and safely rule the country.
Here is a small preview of somewhere inside the building.

Hi Raul. I am from Punjab region of India. The city from where I come is Ludhiana. This is the biggest city in Punjab and it is famous for clothing products all over India. It is actually called the Manchaster of India. Punjab as a whole is famous for farming. It has 5 rivers so it is one of the most fertile regions on this planet.

The name of the language is not Punjab but Punjabi. This is the language that we speak. May be you can say that I live close to war area. But the worst part is on both sides of border there is a Punjab. We share culture, language everything. But even then just because of religion we have been separated.

Oh, yeah, sorry, I forgot to put an "i" at the end. Some years a go I meet some pakistany guys and they were speaking punjabi, at least that's what they told me. They were looking for indian movies in theaters or on Tv and also I discovered some words were similar in my language too .. I forgot most of them but I remember "pantalon" (romanian for pants) sounded to them same like ..
Reason we lost contact is that they were trying hard to push me to become muslim .. so bad that religion, instead to unite poeple, more often divide them and easy reach to open conflict ... :-(

Hi. I'm from Southern California in the U.S. DH and I live about 35 miles east of L.A. in a city called Claremont. I love it here. It's a small college town and we have the benefit of participating in all of the cultural activities that the college offers free of charge. The centerpoint of Claremont is the "Village." It;s changed very little since the 1940's. We still have a shoemaker, a clock maker and a chocolatier.

wow Lauren- I was just complaining that in my town here are no longer has a shoe shop like when I was littleh-- so if you get a broken heal now....there is no where to fix it....it's just time for a new pair of shoes...which I hate because I have some favorites that could use just a new heal and they would be perfect again....lol

there are 3 easy (or not) solution to your (broken heals) problem: First, they invented SUPERGLUE; next is go to Lauren city and fix'em there; third (and best), go buy new shoes (this advice is the result of a short briefing with most of shoe manufacture CEO's and all agreed is best solution for ... them) :-)

Hello wmraul, I live in the United States of America, in Allen, Texas to be specific. This place is great! It is home to Texas's #1 high school football team! They have a big park here call Celebration Park and it is used to hold major events like the Fourth of July celebration, and the Christmas festival and other big stuff! It really is pretty great here since everyone is very nice and they all try to keep our city clean! If you get the chance, you should visit this place! happy myLotting!

I was born in Baltimore, MD USA. It's a pretty big city to some, and small city to others. I guess it all depends on where you are from...
I recently moved to Martinsburg, WV in the Eastern Panhandle region. This city is much smaller than Baltimore, but it's a nice area. There is less crime, less noise, more nature, and more beauty in general, in my opinion, and it's also cheaper to live here -- so I like that too!

Hey buddy, i'm from Mumbai, India. Dombivili to be very precise. It is a suburb to Mumbai and one of the biggest of its suburbs. Its great here, friendly people and all. But its a bit crowded. A lot of working population of Mumbai is from Dombivili. And yeah there ain't McD here either but the nearest outlet ain't that far away. And yeah, if you have a chance to visit Mumbai, then do visit. Its a beautiful place... And whenever you do, do tell me so that I can invite you home.
Take care buddy, beautiful discussion ...

Sure friend, you are most welcomed...
And yeah actually, I too don't like McD that much. I and a friend of mine joke on it as its a huge bonfire where you have to go and throw your wallets and come back...
We never get our tummies full over there. Things are just too costly and food is just too, you know, less....

I live in a small town in Ontario, there's not much to do around here. So I don't, I look after the house and my animals. People aren't very friendly to me in my town so I spend a lot of time alone and cut off from the world. I would be interested in seeing your country someday, but I'm deathly afraid of flying.

Thanks for the comment, you have a good point. As far as my animals can you guess? I have a couple of dogs and a cat. I really appreciate your comment at the end about not having friends or enemies as the case may be.

Yo, doglady112. I am sure you easyly can keep yourself busy while taking care of house and animals .. btw, what animals ? As about peoples not being friendly .. take my "advice" : is them who loose while they don't have you as friend. But even more important is that, if they aren't friends, at least they are not enemies .. hopefully.

Well i will be the first one on this discussion to say that i am from England, a little more speficially London
We have lots to do here, we have the queens palace that you can visit and the London dungeons, we also have some fabulous shopping.
Only problem with England is that it rains most of the time and our summers usually only last about 2 or 3 weeks then its back to miserable weather again

Well you dont see many british girls walking around in sopping wet t shirts but i wont spoil your image of England
There arent as many people on here from the UK as i thought when i joined up, but it doesnt bother me in the slightest where people are from as long as we can talk.
I dont talk cockney, i actually sound like im from Essex, which some would say is worse

Well, as I am a male, I could see the "bright" side of "it rains most of the time" : wet t'shirts on girls :-))))
Anyway, some water won't scare me, but what about the smog ?
Oh, btw .. is a big difference between shakesperian's english and cockney ? :-P

I am from Kuching a city in Sarawak in the country of Malaysia from the land of Borneo. It is no doubt is in Asia and I think it is a nice place to be. We do not go through the four tropical seasons. We are having a wet and damp season throughout the whole year. Malaysia is a multiracial country and we have Malays, Indians, Dayaks and Chinese here living together united. We also have a lot of nice food here and also local and western delicacies. That is the special thing about Malaysia.

I live in Bulgaria, Sofia (the capital). It's north of Turkey and Greece. There's nothing to see here except the amazing landscape. We have a lot of mountains and fields. To the East we have the Black sea. And the climate is great. There are all four seasons here. By the way since you live in right on the north do you know any bulgarian?
