We had a similar issue a little over a year ago. Our rapist targeted elderly women. He was caught. Trial has not begun yet. Be safe, please, and lock up tight. I hope that they can catch your local rapist before he hurts someone more seriously.

hi antiquelady I can remember with some horror about ten years back in tustin single women were being attacked and murdered, seven on a six block long patch of street, just across from our own apartment. I was alone part of the time as my son and husband were at work. the man wore a sky mask and strangled these alone women,he came late at night. then all of a sudden the murders stopped, thank goodness but the murderer was never caught. the police thought he mAy hAve gone to Another town And been caught And was in prison. he resembled a man who lived four blocks over. they had posted pictures of the man with his mask, and that man who answered the door when we knocked looked just like the wanted p oster on his door.we hAd seen his paper on the sidewalk and just knocked to give him his paper.he took one look At us and at that poster, turned, locked the door, didnt take the pAper at all. we went directley to the police. a few days later the man was gone and no more murders. who knows, maybe he was the man.

Yes, I agree with you very much!!! This is just awful!!!They ought to do something with guys like this!!! I hope you keep your doors locked all the time. I know I do and if anybody is at my door, I always ask who it is before I open it. I have peep holes in my doors but sometimes I can't tell who they are and they would have to be standing a certain way for me to be able to see them. I used to have a security system but I don't any more because it got so expensive. I hope you are doing well. Kathy.

yes i agree with you but first put him somewhere all the women can come by and throw rock at him.he knows that the women are by their self or he knows them personaly i think.

I have to agree with you on this. We live in a very small town too and you do not here a whole lot about alot of crime, but we do have prisons close to here, that inmates, do at times, escape from. It is very scary. I sure hope they catch this person too and I sure hope you stay safe as well.

Please be safe and lock all of your doors and windows up. Try not to go outside alone after dark if you can help it. I saw on one crime show that a woman was just putting her trash outside and she went out her back door and the rapist was hiding in the bushes waiting on her. I know its hard to live like that but it is best to be safe. I think he should be bobbed as well!

Yup, I agree with you. In the place where my grandma live, there are some guys who loves to peep thru our windows at night. I don't know if they are sick in the head or what. And I think here in our place, too. Becasue my mom saw the hollow block near the window was broken. That means someone step on it. I think it is our neighbor. I don't know what they get out of what they are doing.

I think if that were the punishment rather than jail that a lot of these sickos that rape women would think twice before raping someone. The fear of going to jail obviously is not enough for them. Think of all the tax payer money we would save. They wouldn't have to be in jail because they would not be able to rape anyone, so we wouldn't have to pay for their room, board, food, and medical, other then the procedure to remove the member. Of course since rape is a violent act they would probably just resort to other types of violence or even murder.

Hi Anti, I hope all is well with you. I am 3 days late on this discussion. And I hope by now that the rapist has been apprehended, locked up and that the people in your community is safe. Take care of yourself and stay safe. My prayers are with the whole community. I live alone too and I know how scary that must be for you. Just don't let your guard down.

This must be so scary for you. Enough to make you want to live under lock and key 24/7. I hope that they catch him soon to. Rape is an awful crime. One lady I know was raped in her teens and she has suffered depression since that time.. she never married and has lived on meds since then. She was in therapy for years but it did not help her too much. They say that you never get over it and keep having flash backs to what happened. These monsters are not men they are monsters. It is a despicable crime against women.I hope that they catch him soon.

I agree with you Jo even if it is harsh move but to prevent one bad thing from happening one drastic move should be taken to protect the many... I also hope that they catch him soon.just dont like rapist

Hi Jo, it must be a horrid feeling to know that some sicko is loose in your neighbourhood, I'm sure every sound in the night must be giving you the shivers right now. Please sleep safely tonight with a large kitchen knife under your mattress and a heavy object close by. Or maybe some kind of spray. It might make you feel more secure to have protective things around. Hope that they catch him soon and you can all sleep in safety again. Thea.

I agree with ya. I don't think that putting someone like that in prison is the right thing. It only makes them become better at it. Think about it. When they go to prison they get to work out and become stronger than they were before. Prison is like a camp compared to county jail. I used to have a window peeper for 5 years. He can easily turn into a rapist cause he apparently sick in the head.
