From relatively safe cocoon of the corporate world, where paychecks arrive regularly, you will be venturing into the unchartered territories of business.
Is there a way to determine whether you can be a successful entrepreneur, or you are better off to work for somebody else? Alas, there is no formula for success.
However most of them succeeded..... what qualities are needed to before venturing?

A lot of qualities to become successful entrepreneurs. and one of them is ready to compete.
some successful entrepreneurs, they are not afraid to face competition. The only way to achieve goals and to excel in a business is to be ready to compete with other successful entrepreneurs.

To be successful, requires that an entrepreneur be a risk taker and comfortable with change. If you are a person who is averse to taking a risk or prefer the status quo, then you are better off in a steady "9 to 5" job.

Go-getter, aggressive in getting sales, long-term vision for the business, passion, self-discipline, personal motivation, perhaps delegation.
