A Police Officer

Many penguins and we have fun too. It's the police officers that concern me more. They don't realise that their 'simple' instructions, if abided by, make them apear as idiots I have great respect for them as they are only doing their job but sometimes those that try to imitate them should really think and make sure they have everything connected before spurting out their wisdom. "Don't walk on the grass" is typical. Give me wings and I'll fly or maybe I should run?

For fear of being culturally offensive, I'm surrounded by penguin like people every day here! The clothing that's worn by many really does sometimes resemble them from a distance and I'm ashamed to say that this is a term I've used before. It's all tongue-in-cheek anyway, so I hope no one reads these comments and gets funny on me. I'm not aware of any following me as of yet though, but I'll pay more attention from this point on.

No sir, but I swam with penguins in the Galapagos. It was pretty cool indeed!

No, actually. I tend to be followed by owls. It's an absolute hoot.

Unfortunately not. But every time I head toward the kitchen, I'm followed by two cats and two chihuahuas...does that count?

Thats funny I haven't seen real penguins in my life as I live in a tropical climate country so penguins do not exists here. I would love to go to Antaratica and see the penguins there in the future but I do not have any idea when will that be.

That's funny every time I hear it! A really classic joke is a treasure. I remember reading "Mr. Popper's Penguins" as a child and being delighted when further adventures came out in a new book. My first experience with a sequel! Nope, penguins don't follow me but they wouldn't be overly uncomfortable here lately. This weekend is the first full weekend of warm weather, if the forecasts are to be believed. Summer temps here are usually in the 80's and 90's and yet we had the second coldest July in history!

oh my no, dont think so. I would capture one at least just to have a pet, but nope, no penguins have followed me. one of my fellow residents, a young man, has the cutest little shaggy doggie he named Annie Laurie. she makes a beeline for me when she sees me sitting in the vistors lounge. she has hair that flops down over her bright little eyes. she will get up on the sofa where I sit, and push at my arm to pet her, then she]plops herself on my lap and gives her owner a look that says I\ want to visit this lady,so chill huh. he calls to her and she gives him another dirty look so he has to come,attach her leash and lift her off my lap. she looks at me and I would swear she is grinning. what a nice little dog.

Do you think penguins could survive Texas summers? I ask because I was seriously thinking about getting a few of them to follow me around.

Oh dear, this must have been late a night, a very bad dad joke. Not often followed by penguins as they objet to being eaten. I sometimes have problems with a large dory fish, a pumpkin and a confused 'roo who say she's a rie. I'd like to eat them sometimes but they're poisonous.

I think this joke is hilarious and I am glad I got to see it before it could get deleted. It is a shame but jokes are against the myLot guidelines i.e. Dont•Post jokes, recipes, etc. as discussions. This is a form of abuse and all recipes and jokes will be deleted if they are started as a discussion.
