For those of you who dont know, I started school this past Monday. Since then I have be bombarded with homework, studying etc. I have had no time to log on to any thing much less MyLot. All week long I felt as if I was forgetting something. I couldnt for the life of me figure out what it was! It wasnt until I turned my laptop on this morning and began logging on that I finally realized what it was that I was missing. IT WAS YOU!! I missed my fellow myLotters. I have been interacting with so many of you lately because I an not working and have more free time, that when I wasnt doing it I truly missed it. You dont know how much you all have helped me thru this terrible time I am having right now! I havent felt that way in a long time. I must admit it feels great to have something I am truly a part of. SO thanks guys for helping me thru. I really, truly, mean every word. Thanks to all. You have impacted my life in a way that the people around me havent. I have to say that it feels good. Thanks again my friend. Have you ever felt like that? Have you ever had a boyfriend or friend that drove you crazy but when they werent around you really missed them? Please share?....dl

yes you are right. .. You only realize the value of a thing when it is lost. .. .You only start realizing how valuable a thing or person when it or he is lost ...

I hate that when I think back to myself and realize how stupid I was to have let it go. I dont do that anymore. I dont throw anything until I really really think about it. I have done that so many times and regretted it. I will never forget about MyLot. dl

That truly is a part of life. Each of us should be thankful for that special person, family, and friends that are part of our lives, right now. We just never know when the day will come, when they are no longer there, for what ever reason. Little gifts suddenly become more precious when we remember where they came from.
A lady recently lost her husband, and he did everything for her, now..she is at a loss, because she has never actually had to do anything for herself.

You are absolutely right. I does stink that it has to be a part of our lives but it is a part of it. I feel for the widow now that she is alone and not really sure how to do things because her husband doted on her. This is a good lesson though. Never allow yourself to become dependent on anyone. Once you do this it makes you vulnerable. Life lesson learned I guess. Im sure she knows how to do some stuff. I find it hard to believe that she never watched him prepare things. She must have watched her parents when she was smaller. SHe probably just doesnt want to do it. I can understand that. Never the less I am very thankful to have you as a friend here on myLot. I can honestly tell you that there have been several occasions where I have depressed about the way life is going for me and you have responded to my discussions and left me crying I was laughing so hard. I am always so touched at the fact you took a few minutes to read and respond in a real way. By this I mean not just a line saying sorry and happy myLotting. You always make sure I know that you have been there or you are thinking of me. You know what? I believe you. THanks again Shirl! dl

Hey,
Yes that is very true, like one time I thought that I could live without the Internet. But then when I didn't have the Internet for the past few days, I realized that it is quite important. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Hi,
We often used to having something, which was with you for a long time. You just accustom to have it without thinking if it is important or not to you. When you lose it, you may feel that something is wrong in the first then you would find that it is due to your missing of it. It is very common in our daily life. So let's cherish now as well as anything we have.
Happy mylotting!

I miss MyLot that way when I cannot get here. It was therapy for me in a difficult time. I am glad you are going back to school, what are you studying. Lots of luck to you, and lots of good wishes too.

Congratulations on starting school! I completely understand what you are saying. All summer long I have been waiting for my kids to go back to school because of their fighting and their boredom. On the first day (Wednesday) I dropped them off and almost cried. I missed them just walking back to the car! I am such a nerd. My days are quiet and calm now, but I do miss having the kids around a little bit. The good thing about that is I REALLY enjoy our time together after school. It's funny how we take things for granted and really see the value after we stop doing whatever it is. Good luck with your classes!

This is actually true.People intend to find the things that are gone.Particularly our love ones.We dont know how important they are in ur life until they're gone.So everyday let them how much you love them and how important they are to you.

It has happened to me on more than one occasion. The first was when I lost my mother when I was 19. For the first month we were shell shocked and numb with grief. Then we concentrated on how to get on with life. It was when I fell sick and was alone at home that it struck me with a vengeance. The smart talk, the teenage defiance and all things bad we do to our parents came back to me. To make matters worse she was not there to accept my apologies.
